Great book
This was an awesome book for kids. It really had a lot of the Godzilla monsters in it. I would recommend looking up some names beforehand if your child is super into Godzilla since the book does not mention all of their names. Overall this has been a great addition to our family library.

Finally, a godzilla book that...
My 7 year old son can read and enjoy with his sisters. If you have a kid who's in this age range and loves godzilla, this is a perfect gift. Book is sturdy.

Whole book has THEM/THEY PRONOUNS for Minilla!
This is not a book for kids. My son loves Godzilla and I can’t read this to him because he’s asking me why am I saying he when it’s written they. How am I to explain that to a 5 year old. Absolute garbage.

A cute fun tale for kids
The kaiju genre has a lot of different installments with many different tones. Some serious, some whacky, some aimed at kids, and more. This is a charming piece of children's media with adorable art courtesy of Moore and Bradley, which compliments the easy to read and ergonomic writing of Moore. This is what I wished I had as a little kid loving monster media.PS: Imagine a world where grown adults are paranoid about words to the point they get angry over a single word in children's book. Sounds like they weren't very brave, UNlike Godzilla!

Grand Kids love this book
Purchased for my grandkids. They really, really enjoy the book. They're huge Godzilla fans and it teaches good, age appropriate, lessons on perseverance and not permitting bullying. If anyone thinks the book is "woke", remember Monsters are androgynous. They don't have a gender. The pronouns used are used exactly as they should be.

Resonates with my son
After reading this book, my 2.5 year old son will face “scary” situations with more confidence and will verbally remind himself that he can be “brave like Godzilla.” I love that he has made that kind of connection with this book and this book is helping him in situations like going to the dentist. I have also heard him encourage others to “be brave like Godzilla.”My only critique of the book is that I find I have to explain what is going on in the pictures to my son for the written story to make sense. The pictures kind of show the storyline and then the words explain the bigger picture and it’s not always easy for kids to connect the two. If you don’t look at and use the pictures to help tell the story, the words feel out of context sometimes.
