2014 STi w/ Nav & OEM+ audio system
Took a chance on this for my 2014 Subaru Impreza STi. My 2014 had the nav screen from factory, so when i first went to install this replacement device, none of my connectors fit. I contacted the company's support page through amazon, and they were more than happy to ship me a replacement wiring harness at no cost. It took a while for the wiring harness to arrive (i think nearly a month, but that's probably due to outside factors...) but to my surprise, it worked flawlessly! I was able to plug and play this system into my car, and everything just booted right up and sounded great. To add to the extra complicated setup, I have an OEM+ Audio system, in my car, that i've always been very disappointed with, due to a bad EQ. I couldn't ever get the EQ correct with the factory headunit either, even though OEM+ recommends setting to a flat curve. However, with this headunit, i was able to tweak the 32 band EQ, and now my system actually sounds great! Exactly how i was hoping it would!

Almost perfect with tweaks!
Great unit! Good features! It works BUT there are things you need to know if you're installing it on a 2010 Sub Forester with the stock Kenwood Navi unit. First, the wiring harness they give you is incomplete. There are two harnesses that are needed that connect to the power on the unit. It's needed for the aux in the center arm rest, the steering wheel controls, and other camera features. I was able to find it on alibaba for $6.29! Excellent bargain! I purchased it, it took 2 weeks to arrive but got my steering wheel controls back. The backup camera is an issue. I'm ordering a different one that attaches to the license plate. It's an extra $10 but far better than the one they ship. There's no where to install it.Onto the unit, having issues with the FM radio. The antenna it came with was not good. So I bought an $8 adapter to hook it up to the stock radio antenna, still not good. It's just something you're going to have to deal with. It has a bit of static if you're not in a clear area.BT Calling on the stock system, can't get the caller ID to work. When I switch to CarPlay or Android Auto, Caller ID works fine since it's basically connecting to the phone. It's just an small issue, it's fine. The stock microphone was bad, bought a different one :(The last annoying thing is that the unit does not fit perfectly into the opening. The bottom right corner just doens't fully snap into place. A slight tug and the whole unit comes out. Just don't pull on it an you'll be fine. lol Would I buy it again, yeah, better than the old Kenwood unit. Are there still some improvements needed, most definitely.

Works out of the box ( results based of expectation)
First off let me start by saying I’m only using this for the CarPlay (they call it CPlink) so I didn’t hook the gps, radio, voice control or the back up camera up. Lie the title says the result of what you’re waning out of this is how you’ll feel. It took 10 minutes to install this because I was trying to go to fast and bent the 2 outer pins of the main jumper. YOU NEED TO MAKE SURE YOU PLUG IN EVENLY ON THE HARNESS SIDE OF THE RADIO WIRES. After fixed worked perfectly for what being a $139 head unit. Touch screen works and looks clear. Fitment of the bezel is 8/10 but that’s to be expected with price. Audio sounds more clear than the stock head unit of my 2011 STI. Bluetooth works good but the wifi trying to connect to my phone was a little wonky (I think my cell service was bad). slight and I mean a slight lag switching from app to app but to be expected from a midrange already cheap head unit. Overall I’d buy it again if I had too.Build quality: 9/10Audio quality: 10/10Fitmant: 8/10

A rant
Okay so, where to begin... fit perfectly in my 2009 Subaru Forester and came with the correct adapters for the wiring harness in the car.-GPS works great-AM/FM radio works great-Bluetooth works great-Wifi works great-Back up camera is low quality but works-Microphone (in built) is absolute trash (only picks up engine, road noise, static)-Auxiliary microphone works great (after hours of troubleshooting... and buying the correct adapter because the radio came with a stereo mic but needs a mono mic input).....Now the fun stuff.....-The in built amp is fantastic but the software and operating system is absolutely terrible for controlling it... on start up it automatically sets the android volume to max causing the car volume to blow out your speakers at the default start up "radio" volume. I tried flashing a different version of android and different operating systems but it must be hard programmed in the bios to set the volume to max no matter what on startup.-I don't know if it's just my unit, but settings are super hit or miss if they actually save in the operating system.-Android auto works great BUT Google Maps always defaults to day mode on unit startup leading to you getting flash banged when your phone connects when it's dark out (oh and maps starts in full screen). To end my rant... the thing sounds great, and is a super nice upgrade if you're willing to compromise on certain things.
