It gets the job done!
I like the easy grip handle on the brush. It gets through the matted fur around our dogs neck better than the dog brush we already had. Our dogs are medium sized outside dogs (Australian Shephard, Border Collie mix). It seems to be a really good brush. We've used it a good bit over the last month. The kids will brush their dogs without being told, so the brush will fit a kids hand comfortably too!! I personally like the brush better than the comb, but both work well. I like the brush design a lot. As you brush the hair comes off it automatically and you don't have to stop every minute or so to pull all the hair out of the brush. Our dogs seem to like this brush better than the normal brush that you can just pick up at Walmart like we had previously. They sit still for their brushings now! I'd recommend this brush to anyone with a dog that needs to be brushed and doesn't like having to stop to clean out the brush all the time.

Efficient and Comfortable Grooming for Long-Haired Pets
The brush is particularly effective in removing undercoats and loose hair, which is a huge relief during shedding season. It's gentle on the skin, and my dog didn't seem to mind the grooming process at all. The additional comb, sturdy with durable metal teeth, is a nice touch, making it easier to tackle tougher tangles and mats. For those with pets prone to matting, like Golden Retrievers or doodles, this set is a godsend. It works wonders on mats, even in tricky areas like the tail, and does so without causing discomfort to your furry friend. However, it's important to be gentle, as the effectiveness of the brush means it can also thin out the hair if not used carefully. The ergonomic design of the brush is a plus, making it comfortable for prolonged grooming sessions. It's a valuable addition to your pet care arsenal, especially considering its reasonable price point. Just a heads-up, though, the brush's effectiveness means you might end up with a fair amount of hair to clean up afterward!

Dog brush and comb
Works great on dogs with a thick undercoat, but didn't get much off our cat when I tried just to see. The brush is surprisingly heavy and feels really strong and durable. The comb is also thinker and tougher than I expected. Good quality!

Dog Grooming Set
My dog loves this comb and brush!! She is huge (Pitt Bull) and thinks she is the biggest baby when I comb and brush her. I would recommend!

Helps with shedding
Wee have two dogs that have long hair with a thick undercoat. I keep trying these tools to help with the matting they sometimes get with the undercoat. Sigh. I'm still cutting out the mats. These tools still seem to pull the fur too hard and the dogs don't like that, even though I hold my hand over the fur to try to keep it from getting pulled too much as I try to detangle it. One of our dogs really hates this tool but he likes the comb okay so I use that for him along with a regular human hair brush. The female has much longer, hairlike fur so I'm still trying the detangling device on her and trying it at different angles to see if I can't get it to help with the matting because she is really prone to that. Perhaps if I knew how to use this tool better it would cut through the matting better, but right now it just seems to pull too much on her fur and it seems to hurt her.So I'm still searching for just the right tool to use for that dog.

Effectively but uncomfortably removes hair
I received this Dog Grooming Brush and Metal Comb set. The comb looked like it might have been used previously. The metal teeth were slightly discolored, and there was a substance at the base of a couple of the teeth, which might have been glue, but gave the appearance of having been used by a previous owner. The dog grooming brush was very effective at removing hair, but I was not able to brush my dog without his hair being tugged by the brush. It looked very uncomfortable, and I will not be using the brush again. I threw the brush and comb away after reviewing them.

Pretty good for the price
The brush works pretty good on my golden retriever but I feel like I need to be really gentle with it. The comb doesn’t really work for her hair at all. The price is cheap so it is worth it just for the brush.

Works great!
Our dog doesn't have much of an undercoat, but the fur tends to mat quickly. This helps pull through those quickly. The prongs are rounded and smooth so our animals don't mind being "brushed" with it. Also, each little prong seems to have a bit of sharp edge on the inside of it which really helps cut through the matts without pulling on the fur. Our long haired cat can actually stand being brushed with this!Overall it is sturdy and seems well built. Also comfortable to hold and use. Great grooming brush.
