I buy this for my cockatiel. I like to buy multiple big bags. This time I bought two 8lbs bags. It stores great in a sealed container. My bird doesn't like sunflower seeds so I love this Voltman brand. It has a fresh fruity smell and my bird loves it. Everytime I run out, I buy this brand. So far they've all been fresh.

My Tiels love this seed mix...except for the peanuts... 'cause they're knuckleheads (your birds might love them). This was good value for food that lasts. I always freeze seeds for a few days to prevent moths, and I have had no problems.

This is the freshest seed for my cockatiels that I have found. It's also free of debris like is in many other mixed. I highly recommend this product.

I like that this is a no sunflower blend. We offer a few sunflowers as a training treat on occasion which I pull from a different parrot food. We do use the Volkman's as a part of a seed/pellet/fresh chop mix for our breeder birds. It's also offered as part of a mix to the weanlings to get them used to different foods. They seem to like it.

I have a cockatiel that simply won't eat half of what is in other foods, and I've tried numerous ones. He doesn't like sunflowers and a lot of the other stuff that is in most cockatiel foods. But he loves Volkman, so I bite the bullet (cause it's very expensive) and but Volkman. Happy bird, so happy (but broke) Mom.
