Seems tough but the first time I wore the pin in my long straight hair it was slipping out constantly and ended up getting super bent. Came highly recommended from what I thought was a reputable source. Overpriced for what it turned out to be.

These are very, and they work very well with long hair. I don’t care for short hair, but in the summer in Florida, it can be very hot, and I like to pile it up on my head or in a bun or whatever and these hold it very well. Highly recommend.

WOWThe perfect french hair pin for long and/or thick hair: this Kitsch pin is very strong, very smooth finish, perfectly shaped and just slightly over-sized compared to standard tortoise shell/plastic french pins so that it holds twists and knots every securely, especially if you have a lot of hair. I have long very fine slippery straight hair but also I have a lot of it--fine strands but very dense amount and this works perfectly--assume would be just as effective or moreso if you have thick or curly hair in generous amount...its great for a lot of hair to hold, in length and/or in thickness.
