Chemical GuysWAC_301 XXX Hardcore Carnauba Paste Wax (8 oz)

My experience with this wax is confined to using it on 1 black, and 2 dark grey metallic vehicles. Your vehicle needs to be properly prepped to get the best out of any wax. 1 to 2 year old vehicles should be clay barred. Any older and you might need to paint cleanse or polish as necessary. This wax should be applied thin and allowed to haze, 20 minutes per Chemical Guys instructions. Time will vary per temperature and humidity. Use the swipe test. Even applied a little bit thick this wax is forgiving, just needs a little bit longer to cure. Comes off easily. I would say longevity is average to good. This wax really makes your properly prepped paint look wet and shiny. For the price you pay for it on Amazon this wax is a very very good purchase. You'll get a lot of bang for your buck!

First and foremost, chemical guys products are excellent choices for any detailer, and this wax proves it. I use this wax on my Harley Davidson ultra classic and my F150, both are black in color and look wet when I finish them up. I will use a good liquid shampoo and conditioner like chemical guys citrus wash , then I use liquitech finish first prep to start off with, clay bar, then radiant black light hybrid polish by chemical guys, then xxx wax, and top it off with V07 sealant by chemical guys, I have found this combination to be the best I have ever used. The shine and depth of the vehicles when finished are second to none, and the finish is smooth and slick like it's just been painted.I will be buying more of this for my other daily drivers, if it says Chemical guys, you can't and won't go wrong.This wax is easy to use, no white residue, easy on, easy off. I find it to be one of the best waxes at this price range and it seems to last a few months on my vehicles, I also use this on the Harley Davidson when I put it away for the winter, I uncover it in the spring, spray chemical guysV07 hybrid quick detailer and it looks like it did when I put it away. Use this wax sparingly as a little bit goes a long way. Once again chemical guys comes through with this wax as they have on all their products I have bought from them.

I love the quality of this wax and all Chemical Guys products. Goes on easily, wipes off and buffs to a quick and beautiful shine. Top quality product.

I have this wax and it is a great basic wax. It looks good on all colors, but looks close to great on lighter color cars. For the price I think its a great wax and I keep it around for a mid-level wax. 😂PRO'S : Can be layered with other wax & sealants.Delivers a brilliant wet- look.Easy on and off application.Doesn't powder or leave big white stains on your plastic & rubber parts.CONS : Highly underrated.Doesn't come with applicator pad.Lasts roughly a month & half two months.Thats not really a con in my book though. Just throwing that out there.Tip's : Clean surface thoroughly before waxing don't apply in direct sunlight. Don't apply to hot automobile's. I usually leave the wax on 1 hour then buff to high gloss with a soft microfiber towel turning frequently.

Mine came COMPLETELY separated and not in a paste form. More of this weird, chunky, watery, unusable substance. I stirred it up in an effort to try and use it only to make a watery soup that was worse. Not sure what happened to this product. I never stored it in a heated area. Disappointed in this purchase. I use Chemical Guys products for everything and have always been blown away by their quality and performance. But I will never waste the money on this one again. Very sad.

Works great

This wax was easy to apply and remove and did not leave a mess behind. However, I was not as impressed with the results as I expected to be. The shine it left was okay but nowhere near a mirror finish and certainly nothing impressive. I try out a lot of car care products and I would call this average at best.

This product truly gives a wonderful shine that is deep and luxurious, and last longer than most other carnauba waxes that I've used in the past. I use it on a space grey color and the results are wonderful. It applies very easily (once you can actually get some on an applicator pad; more on this below) and also wipes off quite readily… something that most carnauba wax is NOT known for.As of late, I've been using a couple of different synthetic paste waxes that are pretty remarkable, but synthetics simply don't give as deep a luster as does carnauba and/or Brazilian waxes… hence the reason they have been an industry standard for eons. This product, as well as their Lava wax, is truly remarkable in that regard. While it does indeed last longer than traditional carnauba waxes, it still does not last as long as a synthetic wax. This is not a problem for me since I enjoy nothing more than spending a few hours of 'me' time with my car anyway. This gives me a great excuse every few months to do just that.With all that said, I will not likely buy this product again unless they change the packaging. The container is a fraction of the width of a standard size round applicator pad. It makes zero sense to have a paste wax in a container like this. Please follow the industry standard packaging when it comes to paste wax. There are decades worth of reliable products by countless other companies that still utilize the 'flat can' style packaging… I would love to see CG do the same.Because of how much more difficult it is to actually use this product compared to ALL the other competition out there… I simply cannot give this a rating of better than 2 stars. If the packaging were changed, I could EASILY give that at least 4 stars, if not even 5. I hope CG will take this into consideration. Once this detail is fixed, it will be a no-brainer for me.
