Easy read, eye opening theme.
Never underestimate the power of simplicity. While there may not be any profound revelation or verbage that only a seminary professor can possibly understand, there is plenty to chew on in Fix Me, Love Them. From the opening story of the author's friend to the closing statements, you can practically feel the passion that went into this book. While the stories are specific to the author's experiences, the reader can nevertheless relate to them in a very personal way. Who has ever been the ear for a grieving friend or the shoulder for a crying loved one? We naturally try to find a word of wisdom to speak to this person. Unfortunately, the "wisdom" often tend to be the exact wrong thing to say at the moment. We want to change their mood and lift them up but we fail to realize that, sometimes, they just need an ear. Matt is quick to point out how our attention can often be the most loving sign and the most apparent sign of Christ within us.However, the book is not all about our love for others in the emotional sense. While this book does indeed touch on this, it is much more. One of my favorite lines is, "The cross is not a warning for those who fall short of God's glory, but hope because we all fall short." Fix Me, Love Them is more than mere fluff. There is a very practical message regarding how we are to better love God, better glorify God, and, as a result, better show the love of Christ to those around us as Christ shines through us.Highly recommended!

Pearl of Wisdom on Relationships!
I picked up this book to read when I was uncertain of how to handle a challenging situation with a loved one. As a result, this short read--perused in a single sitting--changed my heart and the way I viewed the situation, as well as the final outcome. In a synchronistic occurence that can only be seen as the hand of God, this pearl of wisdom proves to be the book's theme...to love without judgment, criticism, or trying to fix another person is the true heart of Christianity. The author is quick to point out that there are times interactions with another person can cause us to engage in a relationship dynamic outside of the way God intends due to willful sin in the other person's life, in which case we may need to allow the person to go their own way while holding a space of receptivity and noncondemation for their return. Wells refers to this as "never (removing) the hope for reconciliation." This prevents us from simply cutting others out of our lives and hearts, thereby confirming that resolution is all about the spirit of our approach. In a nutshell, this book teaches how to quit attempting to do the Holy Spirit's job of correcting, convicting, and teaching--except as it pertains to ourselves!--while embracing our true job as Christians of creating a condusive environment for reconciliation of others to God by the transforming power of Jesus Christ's love in our every encounter. This is a beautifully written, simple book penned with great passion and conviction. What a wonderful gift to the Body of Christ!

A Concise Brillian Book on What Christianity Should Look Like
To the point manifesto of what Christianity Should be. Lived every minute of it. Sent about 10 different quotes to my friends and kids. So much wisdom and juice all thrown out at once. Brilliant and Spirit-filled!

Inspirational......
You can truly relate to the author's point of view on Christianity, I found myself stopping as I read to question what I have been taught and believe. I feel he has impacting you with inspiration that matters. I am so inspired by this book, I can't stop telling everyone about it. I have ordered them for my five children whom range in age from 31 to 21.

God, fix me
A fantastic take on what Christianity truly is and how we should display Christ to the world! An unbelievable way to look at what God is trying to do within us, instead of us trying to play the Holy Spirit in the lives of others.

LOVE
Fix Me, Love Them book is one of best books I've read in a long time. It provides knowledge of how God wants us (people) to live life on earth. What I got out of this book was no matter what you are going through or been through if you allow yourself to love as God intended us to love your life will change in the most magnificent way and that will allow you to love others (the good and the bad).We all pray to God for help and forgiveness...Our prayer should be: "God fix me, so that I may better love them" :)
