System Harbinger: Legacy Earth, Book 5

System Harbinger, the 5th book of the Legacy Earth Series, by Ross Buzzell, is a gem of a roller coaster ride. It is jammed pack, full of action, and a story that never stops. Except for a brief look into a character’s essence or for a rest needed between scenes (like a game of chess or poker). All for a reason to create the perfect foundation of the story. Every detail is planned out and important to understand all the nuances of alien races and skill.An attack on the Alcazar station hits hard with many casualties and destruction but Lance’s squad survives it, with heavy hearts and a desire to help the community’s restoration. Intel comes in with news of a former trainee, Irene, at the forefront of the terror.Lance’s anticipated promotion comes with a new command and ship. Lance and his squad want to go after Irene but orders send them instead after another enemy, the Reeves, who can provide important intel. Buzzell sets the stage for many fights as well as surprises to keep the story flowing. Not to mention, the biggest surprise of all, a foe unlike any other. The reader is invested in every moment; emotionally and with anticipation. And, sometimes, when you least expect it, you have an unlikely source on your side. It was also nice to see how Lance has grown into his universal authority but not without losing his humanity.It is a wonderful book filled with a mix of action, suspense, and breaks in the story to give the characters more depth and stronger relationships. Well done, Ross Buzzell. Can’t wait for the next installment.

But they do. The characters will get under your skin and you won't be able to set the book down for things like eating and sleeping. Lance and the Hrafns keep getting into the deepest difficulties and dig their way back out, to find another challenge to take on. These stories are addicting. Grab some!

Lance Warder and his team are sent on another mission. Interstellar gangs and pirates, traitors and aliens, space stations and ships and a surprise that shocks everyone. I recommend this book.

Enjoyable characters and storyline. It takes a lot of skill to write a book without profanity. I read most of the book before I realized that he was not using profanity. Suitable storyline for young adults of all ages. I look forward to the next book in the series.

Not only do I love the storyline as well as the surprise twists and turns, Ross does an amazing job of fleshing out the characters! I have to admit that I have become very invested in these characters! Don't hesitate! Download this incredible series today!
