Thankfully have not needed to use the fire extinguisher. But the peace of mind of knowing it's there in my classic car, and won't cause more damage to interior, paint, or electronics if I do need to use it (as compared to using a traditional chemical agent extinguisher), is worth the expense. The Extreme Duty mount works exactly as advertising. It's easy to attach to the seat-mounted bracket, and easy to access. I have mine mounted behind the driver seat. Nobody is ever in the rear seat, it's easy to access, and maintains a clean look.

Great quality and rigid/sturdy. Definitely a snug fit and took a little finesse to get the bolts to line up perfectly on then extinguisher tank, but once it’s set it’s a permanent solution

A great fire extinguisher mount. Perfect for a race car.

Functions exactly as you'd imagine. Well designed, went together properly with fire extinguishers and seat base bracket.

If you are looking to mount this bracket on the stock Jeep Wrangler (cage) tubes, you will be sorely disappointed. The base of the bracket is flat, so you can imagine if you try to mount on a round bar. Not a good idea. It may break when placing clamps around it to secure it. After installing the flat base on the bar, I had a hell of a time trying to insert the securing pin in place. After spending more time than I care to admit, I figured that the reason the pin would not go in was because of uneven pressure between the top and bottom (3" Squirrely brand) clamps, probably due to the padding of the tube/bar. I should have looked at the Drake unit. There is also another brand I saw on Amazon which stated specifically mounting on Jeeps. I recommend you look into those if you need a mount for this purpose. Buyer beware. It is a good quality product, for the right application.
