I used most of the poles to get to where I needed to cut. Ensure you screw them together firmly.I'm getting on a bit in years so no longer have the strength I used to have. Raising the saw into position on my own was a real struggle. It would have made it a lot easier with another person to help.Aiming for a point on the branch where it is firm makes it easier to cut. I had the pole at a 60-70 degree angle which meant I was safely away from the branch when it fell to the ground. The curvature of the blade ensured I was cutting through from the top of the branch down. This enabled gravity to keep the cut open and the blade never got stuck.I had quite a few branches of various thicknesses to cut on a row of trees. The saw blade cut through them all with no difficulty. I was very pleased with the results.

The product arrived in time and well packaged. The reach is impressive but with all pole sections in use the saw becomes quite heavy. But lighter versions will be three or four times the price. Excellent for occasional use.

Great for trimming overhead branches away from house. Easy to assemble and use. Cuts through small branches easily and thicker ones with more effort. Length gives access to higher branches without ladder and allows user to stand back to avoid falling tree limbs.

Bought this to trim the tops of about 20 trees that are sorry were about 45 feet high. Works really well once you get used to it. So glad I bought this. Excellent tool to have if you have high trees.
