Great gift!
My grandson has taken up doodling/copying the style of lots of action comic artists lately and had expressed wanting to be able to write his own comic book one day. When I saw this, it checked a lot of boxes so I gave it to him on his birthday and he absolutely loves it! He can create his own short story with it and has already started brainstorming what that story might entail. The kit is great and comes with two separate storybooks, as well as some colored stickers, eight colorful markers, and two pencils. It also has an additional set of stickers that he can color in himself if that's what he chooses, but thus far he's mainly focusing on being able to fit his comic art and story into the limited pages of each storybook. There's also some writing prompts that come with, along with some word lists that each have primarily adjectival use when he might be struggling to find the words he's looking for to describe something. He's really enjoying the whole set and having a lot of fun with it, and it's great to see him commit to what he wants to do. Great gift!

This is such a thoughtful set
This kit was very thoughtfully made. They really took the time to design a product that provides some guidance/options to motivate your child in creating their own story, while at the same time giving them free reign to be creative. The writing prompts are adorable and on-target for the 5-10 age group, and the stickers are sweet and colorful. My 5 year old needs help with spelling and putting together sentences at this stage, but she is still having fun with making the book. We'll probably look into getting her another set for when she is older and more capable of writing on her own. For the two books, stickers, drawing materials, writing prompts, and writing guidance, I would say that the price tag (which was $25 at the time that I ordered it) is where it should be.

Kit Comes with Everything You Need (Minus Pencil Sharpener)
Right out of the box, this was an exciting kit for my kid to open. It comes with markers and pencils. There are story prompt cards with vocab suggestions. There are precolored stickers and stickers they can color in themself. There are two hardback books. Everything is a good quality. I wish there were more pages in each book, I was a little disappointed in the amount of pages. I would suggest planning out how you want the story to go before writing/drawing in the books. This has been great for my creative kid who loves telling stories.

Includes all you need
I really looked forward to helping my son work his way through this activity. He is five almost six and pretty advanced with reading and writing. This activity may still have been a tad advanced for him but that is why we did it together. It comes with all of the items needed markers, pages etc. You can add stickers or different colored pens and pencils to jazz it up. It really is a nice set and would definitely be nice to gift someone to work on together and as a mom I look forward to keeping it safe as a memento.

Great set for the young author
I ordered this Skillmatics Storybook Art Kit for my 7-year old who loves to write her own stories and also happens to love unicorns. She absolutely loves it.The kit is pretty comprehensive. It comes well packaged. The included paper and markers are good quality. Plenty of stickers to help with illustrations. Half colored and the other half allow your child to color themselves. It also comes with writing prompt and vocabulary cards to help regenerate ideas and expand vocabulary.Overall, I think this is a great kit to get your young one writing their own stories.

Good way to bring out creativity from kids
I got this storybook art kit for my child who loves to draw, color, stickers, markers, and read. She immediately decked it out with some stickers and colored them on to the pages and wrote some relevant description related to the images on the page. Just incredible to be able to see how such kit can bring out so much creativity from my 5yo.

Creative minds unleashed
When our 7-year-old godson was scheduled for a visit, we decided to introduce him to an innovative blend of creativity and learning: this art story book. This art set promised not just entertainment but a holistic educational experience, all packaged together that immediately caught our attention.Inside the box, the bounty was impressive: two hardback storybooks waiting to be filled with tales, a selection of markers and pencils for illustrating those stories, stickers to add fun and flair, writing prompt cards to spark ideas, and vocabulary cards designed to enrich language. It was clear from the outset that this pack was meticulously designed with a child's developmental needs in mind, cleverly disguised as pure fun.The impact on our godson was profound. The pack didn't just occupy his time; it engaged him on multiple levels. Watching him practice spelling was gratifying, but seeing his handwriting improve and his imagination soar as he crafted his stories was truly rewarding. The inclusion of stickers was a hit, of course, but it was the educational aspects that he engaged with so enthusiastically that truly impressed us.The beauty of this art story book pack lies in its repeatability. It's not an activity that fizzles out after one use. Our godson's excitement to return to his storybooks was a testament to the pack's lasting appeal. In essence, this art story book pack is a treasure trove for nurturing a child's creativity, literacy, and love for storytelling. It seamlessly blends the joy of art with the fundamentals of writing and language, all while making 'learning' feel like play. For anyone looking to enrich a child's creative journey, this pack is a gem.

Fun and creative play!
Great gift for kids that are just beginning to learn to write independently as my 6 year old is. She has taken herself off and has been creating various stories and sentences using the included accessories. She is currently playing at teachers and is using this as an aid to teach her class (her younger brother) so it is good also for imaginative and creative play. Overall a nice time, presented well.

Nice story book craft set
Nice and unusual story book craft set. Good range of items included in the set. The set includes 2 hardbound story books, stickers, word lists, writing promts, pens, pencils and a manual. Is a great way to encourage your little ones to get creative and design and write their own books. The set would make a great gift for an aspiring young author. I do think it is a bit expensive for what it is though in my opinion. The craft resources can be bought much cheaper and the guidance given could be printed from the Internet to create a similar set for less. Would recommend.
