PURE SOUND (UPDATED)
PRO - Japan quality really shows in this small cast iron wind chime.Sound is very pleasant.Owl design is subtle.Small size allows this to work in places where a larger wind chime won’t fit.CON - None. The included wind catcher looks like paper, but it is some sort of waterproof material and this wind chime can be used outdoors as it comes out of the box.

Exactly what I wanted
I love chimes. Last year we went to Japan and I completely forgot to buy one. This is the way they are in Japan, just a paper is attached. Wind can easily make it to chime and the sound is so delightful.Just put it under roof or any cover from the rain.

Sweet little bell
I had one of these little bells years ago, and someone stole it off the inside of my storm door. I am glad I finally found a replacement. It is even better looking then in the photo. Nice colors, and and glazing, really pretty. I had read other reviews about some of the bells for sale, so I was worried about the sound; but it has the same a sweet little sound as my other one. I see there is a bundle of bells for sale too, I think I'll look into those as well.

Small, well-made
Cute and what I expected from having several of these types of windchimes in the past. It seems well made and I expect it to last a long time.I hung it in our small courtyard placing it on an iron hanger attached to the fence. It's about four feet from the ground and the area gets enough breeze/wind to set the paper attached to the clapper spinning. I'm not sure why, but the clapper does not often hit the turtle so even though the paper is spinning fast, the clapper does not tap the sides of the turtle. I am speculating that maybe it's because the turtle is wide. Perhaps if it were more narrow, the clapper would hit it as often as I'd expect during a strong breeze/wind.Update: 28 June 2021. I changed my rating from 4* to 5*. After going through several heavy rain storms, the clapper is ringing more in the breeze/wind as I originally expected. Perhaps the chime has settled and the angle allows the clapper to hit more frequently. The paper flag has weathered the rain very well and shows no sign of deterioration.

Perfect little chime
I love it! It makes a beautiful sound and is so cute. I didn't use the paper thing included because it would be ruined in the first rain. I took a paper bookmark and wrapped it in clear mailing tape and hung it from the string. It started blowing in the wind right away. Absolutely perfect!

Wonderful little bell.
My mother-in-law has a wonderful bell hanging off one of her paperbark birches that she received as a gift. After spending a lovely afternoon on her patio listening to it in the slightest breeze, I knew I wanted to hang bells off the trees in my garden as well. The first bell I got was lovely to look at, but the clapper was too heavy to make a sound except possibly in the strongest gust of wind, or if you violently shook the branch. This is the second one I got, and though as small and delicate as it is, I can hear it from inside the house. I am definitelly planning on adding all the other designs of this bell to my wishlist and eventually to my garden.

Simple and attractive
This bell looks nice, has a decent simple tone and is inexpensive enough to have several in different shapes if you like them. The string used to tie this together won't last long outside, you will probably need a new piece to blow in the wind to replace the paper it comes with. I have found that it works best with a very light windcatcher and light synthetic string.

Cute tiny wind chime
I got this wind chime at the recommendation of my adult daughter. I questioned whether something so tiny could make some decent sound. Oh boy. I hung it up in my fig tree and it is a very pretty sound and you can hear it all over my front yard. It is not the classic beauty but the sound more than makes up for it! I love it! Highly recommended.

Best Japanese Windbell in my collection so far
Careful manufactured and tuned, this bell whispers its beautiful song in my garden. Suspension, rope length and windsail are precisely trimmed. The day the Windsail will give up, il will replicate its dimensions with some Washi Japanese paper. My little garden is filled with some excellent “music of the spheres” windchimes, Tibetan bell, Chinese Windgong, 4 furins... This Japanese windbell is on top of the pyramid

No marking of brand Iwachu.
I bought the bell chime as it stated it’s Japanese Iwachu. Received the product, there’s no brand marking that it’s an Iwachu. Iwachu has pride in their products with markings of the name Iwachu on all their products. The advert description is misleading.
