Gigabit ethernet is separate. Real-world data storage transfer is about 750MB/s on a Pi 5 using this adapter in my world, with the pci set to run the more risky pci 3 speed. But then, all USB ports are capped at 480 - no USB speed for the storage. That said, the ethernet port and an Nvme on this adapter managed to saturate gigabit ethernet, and then still have storage bandwidth to and from the processor that is much faster. This is a good device. It came with two ribbon cables, but both were short. When I added a POE+ hat to the Pi, the ribbon cable would not reach, so I had to order the longer cable kit. It would be nice if this kit came with two cables - one short, and one a bit longer for hats that could also be used as a spare.
