D’Addario Prelude Violin String Set, 1/2 Scale Medium Tension – J810 1/2M - Solid Steel Core, Warm Tone, Economical and Durable – Educator’s Choice for Student Strings – 1 Set

I have bought a couple of sets of this strings for my son and daughter. These strings are of good quality for the price and they are good for beginner/intermediate violin players. The delivery service is terrific. For the price, you can't go wrong.

Arrived very quickly. I am a violin teacher and try to find the best string for a reasonable price and heard these strings played on a 4/4 violin in the symphony and was very impressed with the sound and price, so thought I would give these strings a try on a 1/2 size fiddle and found that they had a nice warm sound. Tiny violins have a difficult time sounding sweet, but I was pleased with these and highly recommend them.

I restrung a violin with these and it sounds great. Just make sure you don't tighten even a half a peg rotation too much, as the string will snap.

We use these when one of our instruments for after school programs breaks. They aren't the best string out there, but they are sturdy and you can't beat the price.

My son plays a 1/2 size violin, and Amazon was the only place I can find affordable 1/2 size strings. All other stores only had full size. Overall, a great option available from Amazon.

Strings sound good! I cant wait until my daughter can play them old gospel hymns that tells about the only One Savior Jesus Christ who is the only one that can take away sins.

I restrung a student violin with new strings but the E string snapped before she could even begin playing it. The reviews for these strings were glowing so that's why I go with Prelude strings for students. However, I'm disappointed and had to send the student home with an old E string back on the violin just so they'd be able to practice over the weekend until we figure something else out because all we need is a single E string replacement.
