Shengshou 7x7 Speed Cube Puzzle Black

My son LOVES this! He is a big fan of these cube puzzles and had been asking since Christmas for this 7x7x7, so for his birthday I surprised him with it. It didn't take him long to master it. He loves to show off to all his friends because it really does seem difficult, but he told me once you figure out the algorithms it's pretty easy. He can also make designs with it. He made me a heart to show me how much he loves it. It turns fairly smooth and the quality seems to be really good.

Works 100 times better than my Rubik's Brand 5x5x5. After trying to remove one side to make a black side, I can say with confidence that these are great stickers and will easily last a few hundred solves if kept at home. Very solid construction and has plently of good weight to it. I can move every layer with standard finger rotation (rarely do i have to grip the whole thing to turn). It can lock up occasionally but with size as a factor I would say that it is very forgiving. If tensions are set right, I could see this doing very small corner cuts.

I have, and very much like, a 2014 vintage Shengshou 7x7x7 cube. It matches the description and picture on the product page: 3.15x3.15x3.15 inches and with standard color stickers. In June 2023, I ordered another one to carry with me. The new one is smaller at 2.75x2.75x2.75 inches. Its sticker colors are different, too, with the yellow and orange being much brighter (basically neon) than the old, and the blue and green stickers being somewhat brighter than the old. The new cube still turns like a top quality cube. Time will tell how well it holds up. But it's surprisingly different from my old favorite toy.

Very nice build quality. Turn well, and has not had any pieces fall off after hours of use. The stickers are a little poorly alligned, and there is some plastic ridges left over from molding, but overall very good.

My 15-year-old loved it. Took him about 3 weeks to solve it, which was great because he was solving all the other puzzles in just minutes or hours. It has held together well without any separation events, and the action feels really smooth.

Very smooth and awesome mechanical creation. I have tried other brands for 5x5 and 4x4, then I bought ShengShou and realized how bad the other products were. This time I bought ShengShou 6x6 and 7x7 and both are awesome. They are so smooth, turns so easy and best for speed cubing as well. They are not too huge but a bit heavy though. I would not consider as a negative.

I thought this was a really nice cube- it moved well abd the stickers were good quality. It was pretty expensive compared to the other cubes. Even ones of the same brand. So I would have hoped that it would have survived being just dropped one time without breaking into a million pieces. I did not throw it in frustration- simply dropped it from about waist height on to a normal floor. I really want a new cube but may consider a different brand
