Love my scanner
Love my scanner. The hardware has been flawless. The software is what really makes this a great product. It simplifies the scanning process significantly. I have scanned several things around the house and used the meshes to design custom mounting brackets that I then 3d printed.

This scanner appears to be well built, but it is not plug and play, on my Dell machine anyway
This appears to be a nice scanner, packaged well with correct accesories, but I have had nothing but trouble getting this to work. Loaded their software on a Dell workstation with win10. Software and scanner show up and are recognized, but will not run. Customer service, which is limited to night time hours is difficult to get as they are in China, so you are at their mercy as to when they will help you. I have been unable to get connected to a technician for help. If you dont mind jumping through hoops on their terms, you might get the scanner working. But the problem could be on my computer, but getting customer service to help find the problem, is a problem.Update: Revopoint technician helped me after four days of trying to get help, and tried everything to get this working without success. I discovered the problem, a Windows update, after hours of trying to figure it out. The problem was on my side, not a Revopoint problem. Revopoint had never seen this before. I am happy with this scanner so far, but the problem was me, not Revopoint

Top-notch scanner with easy-to-use features
I missed my opportunity to write a review soon after receiving this product, but hopefully, it will still be useful.Despite the Revopoint Mini 2 not being the cheapest on the market, it fully deserves its value:- Accessories package: It comes with a very functional case for all the accessories, including a tripod, turntable, phone holder, multiple mats with dots, additional dots, a calibration board, all types of cables, and connectors. It's far from an out-of-the-box experience compared to cheaper competitors.- Phone compatibility: It works great with a phone. You still need to import the model to the desktop application for processing, but scanning on the phone is very handy.- Software: The Revopoint Mini 2 comes with the amazing RevoScan 5. I’ve tried a few other programs, and this one is much simpler and more intuitive. It combines multiple scans perfectly in most cases and produces fine results even without long processing. In the attached pictures, I did a very quick scan of a garden equipment bolt (a single scan), imported the STL file to 3D printer software, and printed it. It still serves me well after six months.Another example is my favorite pet duck - I used the scan in my short film in the Blender. Note: I did retopology, as the default triangle topology is not the best for animation, but it should be fine for static objects. From my experience, you can choose a cheaper competitor for a specific task with a longer learning curve, but if you want versatility and high quality, just go with this one.

The best 3D scanner available at an affordable price
The Revopoint MINI 2 3D Scanner is a standout choice for both novice and seasoned users in the realm of 3D scanning and reverse engineering. Its ease of use, combined with high precision and the ability to handle a variety of objects, makes it a versatile tool. The software’s ability to clean up scans contributes to a smoother workflow. However, users may need to rely on scanning stickers for certain objects and should be prepared to climb the learning curve to make the most of this impressive device. Overall, it’s a highly recommended purchase for anyone serious about 3D scanning.Pros:Ease of Use: The Revopoint MINI 2 is incredibly user-friendly, working seamlessly right out of the box.High Precision: With up to 0.02mm precision, it captures great detail, making it ideal for a variety of scanning needs.Versatile Scanning: Whether it’s small figurines or larger objects like routers and modems, this scanner handles them all with ease.Software Integration: The accompanying scanning application is intuitive, simplifying the process of importing and cleaning up scanned models.Effective Orientation Detection: Its software adeptly detects multiple orientations, ensuring a comprehensive 360-degree view without missing any angles.Dark Object Scanning: Unlike many scanners that struggle with dark objects, the MINI 2 excels, capturing details that others miss.Cons:Surface Challenges: The scanner can have difficulties with objects that are too smooth or lack distinguishing features, although scanning stickers can help mitigate this issue.Learning Curve: While the scanner is straightforward to use, there is a learning curve to fully leverage all its capabilities for optimal results.

first impressions will update after further use and testing
So far I’ve only scan a few doll parts which are pretty small and the whole reason why I got the mini2 and I used my phone for that quick test it did pretty great. I got the deluxe version for the double axis turn table, that didn’t work out of the box. I tried contacting Amazon for a replacement of just the turntable but they were useless about it since it’s sold by third party so beware of that, luckily I figured if the dumb power cord it came with that is the issue, I have another one with same specs and the turn table actually works now so if you are having trouble with it, the thing might not be broken is just the power cord, besides that I have not been able to properly set it up on a computer and I tried handheld tracking but I might be shaky or it kind looses tracking and takes a bit to re orient
