Amazingly Useful, No Cord!
Like most people, I've had a Shop-Vac for years, with the cord and various attachments. The cord adds to the hassle of dragging it out or being able to reach any area not near an outlet. Not so with the EGO wet/dry vac! It was so nice to bring it anywhere in the house, to the cars, and the ultimate hack is bringing it to the outdoor shootin' range to pick up shells because there's no better tool. In this case, the range keeps the shells which I just pour into their recycling bucket when I'm done. The battery lasts long enough for any reasonable task, and if you get a second battery you can always have one charged. The power is good, and I really like the Bluetooth remote for toggling the power.I also really like the form factor of the EGO vac. It's not so tall and top-heavy like many others, and it fits in the trunk of my Tesla easily. This would not be so easy with my older vac. It's got some heft but it's not overly heavy, and not even all that awkward to carry. EGO design in some convenient handholds to make it easier to carry.I also think it looks cool, and EGO's design language has always been aesthetically pleasing.Big fan of the EGO system!

Very surprised by how well this works and the convenience of battery power
I've had a Home Depot Ridgid brand vacuum for about 12 years. It was a three horsepower model. Worked fantastic up until a couple months ago when it started making some loud noises from motor after about 2 minutes of use. I've used it to vacuum out both my vehicles, my garage and my son and daughter like to come over to my house and wash their vehicles because I have all the nice stuff for washing and detailing, so they use it to vacuum out their vehicles too. It's got quite a bit of regular use over these years. Since I have several EGO tools, I have several batteries of theirs already and every one of their tools has performed outstanding, so I decided to buy this unit to replace my ailing Rigid. All I can say is wow I am very impressed by this product. On high it's about the same power as the plug-in electric rigid it replaced and on turbo it is quite powerful. It's very quiet also. I can vacuum out a vehicle with one 2.5 amp hour battery. I do turn it off using the remote on the end of the handle, which is the most convenient thing ever by the way, so I think that helps a little bit with battery life. It's very easy to move around and follows me wherever I go by just pulling on the hose. Having all of the tools be able to store on the product as well as the hose wrapped around the top when you're done is really nice, makes it very easy to store and take up hardly any space. I don't use the bag that came with it, I just don't see a use for that for my purpose. I haven't used it for liquids yet but I didn't use my other one for liquid very often either. Is The impossible on a 7 amp hour battery I'm able to vacuum out my entire garage, up in the corners, the floor and all the shelves for cobwebs etc and not even worry about battery life. Not having a cord to get tangled up in or stop the vacuum from rolling by getting stuck on it is quite the liberating experience, I'm serious. And having that remote button on the handle is brilliant! I thought the crevice tool with the light tube was going to be a gimmick but I tell you for vacuuming out underneath the seats and in between the seat and the console areas it is absolutely fantastic. Overall I'm super happy with this product and would highly recommend it to anyone, especially if you're already invested in the EGO power equipment ecosystem.

EGO RULES!
Once again EGO hits it out of the park I just received my vacuum and it’s amazing how well thought out their products always seem to be and this one’s no exception. I’m a career painting contractor and I’ve seen my share of shop vacs and this one blows them all away for convenience of use and storage and suction to rival any vac I’ve had. Even the hose stows.neatly and securely a nd a lighted remote control that mounts on the crevice tool and allows operation remotely if desired . I already know I’m gonna like the cordless aspect especially when the suction is equivalent of corded models I’m pretty sure this is a game changer I won’t even want to use my old shop vacs and this has a much less offensive turbine noise lots less noise I like that shop vacs can be really annoying.. oh yeah and please make a small outboard motor of about four hp equivalent for small craft I would buy that pronto. 👍☮️

Great addition to a line up of EGO tools
I purchased the tool only because I already have plenty of batteries and chargers. Even for the 'tool' only, this is a very expensive Shopvac when comparing to a standard corded Rigid but, the portability makes this a very useful vacuum. I've only had it a few days but I've cleaned out my cars, garage, back deck, shed, cloth dryer etc. just because it is so easy to move around. It came with a handy remote control that as a build on light. You can put the remote on a narrow probe nozzle that has a light channel which allows illuminating those tight spots (why I used it to clean to clothes dryer.) There are places on the EGO Shopvac for storing accessories onboard so you never have to look around where you last left and extension or brush. Another cool accessories is an adaptor for connecting the shop vac to power tools; I can see that being a great feature especially with the remote control feature. Overall, I'm very happy with the purchase.

This is better than I expected, but, what's up with no storage for the attachment tip?
I used a Harbor Freight 2 gallon before getting this. This one (EGO) blows the other out of the water. This is well thought out. There's on-board storage for almost every attachment except for one. There's a rubber tip attachment that goes, I think, on the floor brush, but there's no where to put it. However, I just found that someone on Thingiverse made a mount specifically for this (must be a common complaint?), so I printed it on my 3D-printer and it literally looks like it came from the factory and it works perfectly for that last attachment tip. EGO could benefit from including that mount with this wet/dry vacuum. But for anyone with a 3D-printer, there's a solution for that last free-floating attachment with no home. The vacuum itself is awesome so far, we'll see how long it lasts, I do a lot of routing and that's a quick way to kill a lesser quality wet/dry vac.
