Excellent quality knives. I cook a lot and had a set from TK MAxx which had an rrp of about £250 (I paid about £80).They were good at the time but this is the next level - they have revoluitionised my kitchen experience... chopping every new texture is like a little experiment and the results are always pleasing. I have managed not to gorge myself yet but I'm sure I might if I keep cutting my vegetables as quickly as I am! All part of the learning experience... ;-)I guess the novelty will wear off at so,me point, after which I am left with a solid, extremely sharp, good-looking, durable knife set.For sharpening I will probably buy a decent whetstone and gauge for about £40 (rather than the £125 Global tool).£300 seems a lot but they are well under the rrp of £750 and if you like to cook you will get your money's worth out of them.

A set of very very sharp knives. I was using some pretty good knives before this and I am fussy. Upon receiving these knives, which are packaged individually from the block. I was amazed at just how good they are. They are fairly light so those who prefer heavier knives may want to look at other products but on shape and sharpness they are second to none. I'll be buying more knives (a roast slicer) soon.

Bought these as an extravagant birthday present to myself and haven't regretted it at all. They are exceptional, an absolute joy to use. Keep an eye out on amazon warehouse (this is where i got mine, like new with 50 quid off)

I bought this set for my partner as he always does the cooking, to show my appreciation! He was very pleased with the knives but managed a juicy cut to his thumb when he first used them. It didn't put him off though luckily.

Why have i lived so long without these in my knives! I meant life! Get them they are awesome! had my Henckels for over 10 years not converted to Global. Chopping has never been so much fun.

These knives are the best I have ever had. Super sharp great selection of sizes to cover most jobs in the kitchen. Handle and blade one continuos piece so will never fall apart. Worth the higher price tag

These knives are the best I have ever owned. Global knives have a different edge to European knives so it is worth investing in a Global specific sharpener. They arrive in the box fantastically sharp, so be careful!

The quality of these at the price made it an outstanding package but they are seriously sharp and need to looked after to keep them that way.
