You Get What You Pay For
I love this thing because it allows me to measure quickly while keeping a quick measurement record with a button click. It gives measurement variations as desired. It's big and very sturdy. It works with an app if you're working at a job site. The app is really too much for a DIYer like myself. I suspect a lot of the cost is due to the software app and the one used on the unit itself. I really like the flexibility, although it is a bit much for my skill set.

I love it.
The perfect tape measure. You will need to learn how to use it and adapt it to your operation. Accurate, Wonderful display. Saving your measurements is a life saver. Great for the DIY guy/gal. I did buy other digital tape measures to compare it to and the Tomahawk came out first every time. Bluetooth to your phone.

THIS WILL SAVE YOU TIME AND MONEY
Ok i bought this as I am in construction. This thing has saved me time in many ways. From pulling a no touch measurement using the lazer to finding center at a push of the button, it makes everything faster and makes productivity increase. Also having the ability to make spread sheets by connecting to my computer and having all the measurements go on material lists is amazing. But wait there is more. The app is outstanding. I can have all my cuts saved to the app by job phase and visual representation of what is beimg built and modified.I, like you, have read the reviews and maybe thought oh sounds like too much trouble. The battery lasts all day then the next day as well on a single charge. Configuring this is a breeze and plus its not too heavy. The included holster is perfect for carrying the device. The only thing it needs is a clip for a pencil while doing layouts. Its worth the cost and an amazing inclusion to any tool enthusiasts collection.

Lots to like but also some significant questionable design choices.
The Tomahawk tape measure offers robust features along with some significant usability issues. Here's my experience:Pros:Durability: Built like a tank, it's designed to withstand rough handling.Customer Support: Responsive, though only available via email.Innovative Features: Includes multiple functionalities that typically require separate tools, such as a viewable measurement from any angle—a bonus for aging eyes.Cons:Calibration Process: While the tape measure is accurate, achieving this accuracy requires a complex calibration process that can be frustrating and time-consuming.Firmware Updates: The device frequently indicates that a firmware update is available, even after recent updates. But beware. If you apply a firmware update, whether its actually new or just the ever present message that says a firmware update is available, you will be back to step one, which is the calibration process, which isn't any easier the second time around.Charging System: Lacks a standard USB port on the battery; charging can only be done via a port on the tape measure itself, making the tape measure unusable while charging the battery. Have a second battery, you double this frustration!Battery drain has been improved with firmware updates but you will experience battery drain.Label Printing: The label printer requires the use of a smartphone app, which is impractical for use in conditions like working on scaffolding. Ideally, one should be able to print labels directly from the measure to their printer but the app middleman is a requirement.Despite its solid build and helpful features, the Tomahawk tape measure's design overlooks practical, real-world use. The calibration and charging systems, in particular, need improvement. I've communicated these issues to the company and received a standard acknowledgment but no substantive follow-up.Rating:While the Tomahawk is not a 1-star product, I felt these real world examples wouldn't be noticed if I gave it a 3 or 4 star review. The mentioned issues might deter some users. This is a real-world review aimed at highlighting the practical aspects of the product.

Tomahawk T1 is the best
Great digital tape measure with tons of features. Love the feel of this and the flexibility of doing inside measurements, end of tape measure measurements, finding the center and being able to do relative measurements from any distance. It is expensive but it also comes with an app that is extremely versatile. There are so many advantages with the tape that I bought a second one to take to the job site where we have a dedicated’ cut man’ that will have accurate measurements laid out in order. I can’t say enough good things about this…a real game changer.

Not bad, but not what I expected.
I had wanted this measuring tape for a long time, and when it appeared on Amazon, I ordered it right away. Of course, I read the reviews before buying the Reekon measuring tape. Some claimed it measures with a 2mm error, the battery doesn't last long, and other reviews. When you first set up the tape measure, you have to calibrate it, and in my case, it shows accurate measurements. Regarding the battery, I can't say anything bad yet, but I've only had it for a week and haven't used it extensively. Here are the pros and cons I see:The good: You can save your measurements, and they are even duplicated on your phone. This is convenient because one person can measure something high up while another can see the measurements on their phone and cut the material elsewhere. There are also several additional features that make it more convenient (though they are not essential). The cons: The laser it comes with is almost useless. You can turn it on and use it when measuring a board or a single piece from edge to edge, but even then, it's not very helpful. In other cases, it doesn't work properly and gives inaccurate readings. The tape measure is heavy and large. I think if someone has small hands, it will definitely feel big and uncomfortable. For me, it sits in my hand okay, just a bit large.I haven't decided yet whether to keep it or not. I have time to test it at work for a whole day and see how much I like it.Happy shopping, everyone!
