Good price for a great and very capable switch.
Bought this after hearing about it from a friend, has the innards to allow it to work as well as some of the much more expensive switches on the market by the big (end expensive) boys such as Dell etc.

Das Ding wird mit Firmware 1.00.10 ausgeliefert. Damit ist es nur mit IE konfigurierbar, und die Lüfter machen (auch nach Umtausch) ein unangenehmes, ständig wechselndes Geräusch. Lange gesucht, Firmware 1.00.16 gefunden, damit kann man auch mit anderen Browsern rein. Lüfter laufen konstant. Immerhin. Allerdings ist auch die aktuelle (Sept 2014) Firmware ein Graus. Schlimmster Punkt: Als ich das admin Passwort ändern wollte, konnte ich das zwar (wenngleich nicht 12, wie angegeben, sondern nur 6 Zeichen akzeptiert werden), allerdings konnte ich danach nicht mehr einloggen; nach Meinung des Teils war das Passwort falsch. Selbst mit Passwörtern, die nur aus Buchstaben bestehen, funktioniert es nicht. Auch einen anderen User anlegen führte zum gleichen Resultat, ich konnte nicht einloggen. Der Switch ist meines Erachtens schon aus diesem Grund eigentlich unbrauchbar.

Not much to say about a POE switch that will knock your socks off, this one works and works very well, very easy to set up and nice, small form factor. Will buy again if needed.

Very simple setup. Solid device and doesn't get too hot. Web - based console was fairly easy to configure. Is being used to provide data and power to 11 EnGenius EAP350s. So far so good!

TRENDnet is a company offering a wide array of networking solutions. Not all of their models I would rate with 5 stars, but this model is superb. True to its word, the switch supports multiple connections using Gigabit Ethernet and maintains a strong connection under heavy load. We process large pieces of artwork and hundreds of files a day and we have not seen a lag. We have a main switch for our office, a Linksys and this switch works off of the Linksys. They work very well in tandem and I have had personal commenting in the increase in network speed. Lastly, the device works right out of the box and offers a user friendly interface for making needed changes.
