Even though there are some crumbs in the bag, the walnuts still held their shape well. I'd say that they look a good colour and feel fresh. I could easily break one in half, push my nail into the centre and see the oils squeezing out. They're not at all dry. The nuts are also packed with flavour. It's as though they've just been broken out of their shells. They have the typical soft crunch that you would expect of a walnut. Overall, I can't find anything wrong with these and I happily sit and eat them straight from the packet.

These are delicious and taste fresh. Mine are dated till January 2025, so good long date (they won't last that long!). £6.99 is pricey for these though, but I know walnuts are not cheap. I wish the bag were re-sealable. Great for snacking, backing, granola etc.

These are good quality walnuts that come with a shelf life of almost exactly 12 months. The majority are whole and only a few are broken, but remain overall in large pieces if they are. They have the taste and crunch of freshly picked walnuts without the browning of fingers that goes with the task of collection and cracking of the newly fallen nuts. Chop them up for salads or baking, munch on them whole as a snack or, my favourite, use them to decorate the top of a coffee and walnut cake.
