Pasta Rotini Red Lentil, 8 oz

My husband is allergic to pretty much everything that tastes good, so finding ingredients that he can eat AND don't taste weird can be tough. (On the can't-eat list: gluten, dairy, corn, nightshades and shellfish.) The red lentil rotini looks, feels and tastes *very* close to real pasta! Not to mention it has TONS of protein so I don't feel guilty when I have a pasta craving. Pro tip: The cooking instructions for the red lentil rotini say to cook for 8 minutes. If you do, you'll end up with mush! Set a timer for 5 1/2 minutes, then check the pasta for doneness.

BE CAREFUL!!! This is a great product from a good company. Amazon describes it as a "package of 6" - 8 ounce boxes. With tax the total was over $32. It is a reasonable price for 6 boxes. Unfortunately, Amazon ships only one 8 ounce box and when they re-shipped, they sent another single box.

These used to perfect 5/5 stars. Then they slightly changed the consistency. Now they're just good-great. The perfection was that if you overcooked them, they would start to "melt" and create their own cheese like sauce (I can't have cheese - dairy or substitutes). And it was wonderful. Didn't re-microwave as well, kinda congealed though, so, I'm guessing they got some complaints because now the noodles just continue to get bigger and then fall apart when you over cook them (like a standard noodle), so they have gone into my normal rotation and travel/re-heat well. ...but I miss my mac'n'cheese substitute.

I love both the taste of the pasta and the fact that it's more than just carbs, but packs a lot of protein as well! Thank you!!

I ordered the 6 count of rotini and only got sent 1 box but still was charged for all 6. I've bought the pasta before and the pasta is really good but I'm very upset I was overcharged and sent 1/6 of the pasta I ordered
