Follow these steps based on your operating system **Q: Why am I not getting the advertised speeds of my NVMe on my Mac Studio Stand & Hub ?** A: Ensure your NVMe drive is properly formatted (APFS or ExFAT). Plug the enclosure into a USB-C port on your computer that supports 10Gbps speeds or more (look for USB 3.2 Gen 2 or a Thunderbolt/USB4 port). **Q: Can I run macOS from an external drive installed in the enclosure of the Mac Studio Stand & Hub with NVMe?** A: We suggest not using the enclosure to run macOS or any other operating systems externally. The transfer speed is capped at 10Gbps, which might cause some challenges if you try to run an operating system. ## Frequently Bought Together - Satechi Mac mini Hub & Stand with SSD Enclosure for NVME/SATA M.2, Mac mini Dock with USB C 10Gbps, 3 USB A 5/10Gbps, 2.0 Audio Jack, for Mac Studio, Mac mini M2/M1 (Not Compatible with M4) - Silver - Samsung 990 EVO Plus SSD 2TB, PCIe Gen 4x4, Gen 5x2 M.2 2280, Speeds Up-to 7,250 MB/s, Upgrade Storage for PC/Laptops, HMB Technology and Intelligent Turbowrite 2.0, (MZ-V9S2T0B/AM) --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.ma/products/603392689-satechi-mac-studio-m5-hub-and-stand-with-nvme-ssd](https://www.desertcart.ma/products/603392689-satechi-mac-studio-m5-hub-and-stand-with-nvme-ssd) --- *Product available on Desertcart Morocco* *Store origin: MA* *Last updated: 2026-10-19*
