I was looking for something to keep my dirtbike street legal while carrying a chainsaw to clear those deep back woods trail falls that happen. The stock headlight must be removed for the saw mount. This light looked like the ticket as it claims DOT approval. It has the DOT lettering on the lens too! Which is awesome. I mounted it using the included brackets, but had to improvise as the bar mounts won’t fit Husqvarna/KTM type bars. It looks good. I didn’t use the switch wiring. The button would be very hard to push with gloves and only my pinky could push it in far enough to engage it. Quality is ok, just needs a more accessible button. Now the big downside is the reflector on this sends a “crystal” pattern every direction, which is no bueno on the street. This makes me question its DOT approved claim. Even with the Lens having DOT and some numbers engraved in it. Paid a lot more because of the DOT lens. Severely disappointed that it’s so bad at projecting. The light is bright; would be good for off-road. Can someone please, PLEASE come out with a DOT approved light in this form factor that has high and low beams??
