Descent battery life (~5 hours), a great OLED screen, but defective touchpad
Was working well at the beginning through one week of spring, then one day the touchpad stopped working without warning. Did a driver reinstall and fresh windows reinstall, still did not work. Unfortunate my unit had this issue because the laptop did not weigh much, plus was generally quiet & looked quite nice.

Good for light productivity tasks and web browsing
This laptop is good for light productivity and web browsing, if you want something for heavy/prolonged gaming don't buy this as it does not have the specs to do so apart from some light games ex Stardew Valley. The OLED 2.8K screen looks really good and watching videos and movies on it is a great experience. It can get quite hot though if you have many applications open.

Runs hot. Too small to read. Horrible battery
My last Acer was in 2009, and I said I would never buy another one. I forgot. The Acer Swift Go 14 SFG14-72 is very hard to read . I can make the icons larger, but then the web pages are too hard to read. I can only read part of the page at a time. When looking at photos on web pages, I can click the gray dot to see the next photo, but I have to scroll up to actually see the photo. once I see the photo, I cannot go to the next photo until I scroll back down to the gray dots. I cannot see both at the same time. I have been trying to fix this since July 2024 (over 6 months). No luck getting any help on Acer community or Acer FAQ. Maybe this review will catch Acer's support people, and maybe they will reply. The PC also runs hot, so I had to buy a laptop stand with a fan to cool it down. The USB fan on the laptop stand drains the battery quicker. The battery lasts about 2 hours when online and looking at web pages. Have not tried streaming videos yet since the battery is not good. No point in buying an OLED screen with a battery like this. The touch screen version does not have OLED screen.

Great value on paper, unfortunately product proved very unstable
Got this laptop for my birthday. Was really looking forward to it. The value on paper looks great. Generation 14 Intel CPU with Intel Arc video card capabilities, 16 GB of ram, 512 GB of SSD, OLED display.I don't know if I just happen to get a bad sample but my experience with this laptop was completely unsatisfactory. Killer wireless Wi-Fi has always been worthless since they came out years ago but I was willing to give it a try on this laptop. Wi-fi proved to be completely unstable. Huge latency spikes, barely able to pick up Wi-Fi where my Android phone and old laptop got very strong signal. Killer Wi-Fi card actually crashed and disappeared from the device manager several times as if the laptop suddenly didn't know it had a Wi-Fi card.Continuing to use the system didn't prove any better. There was a weird hesitancy when opening any program even simple things like the command line prompt, notepad, or opening an additional tab in a web browser. There was always a two to 4 second delay after attempting any of those, to the point I was wondering if it actually accepted the mouse click and was going to launch the program and it finally would.Other programs would just outright crash with error codes and never even worked correctly. I insured everything was up to date including windows before starting to use the laptop.Aside from the fact that the HDR experience in Windows is just terrible, the colors on this screen were off. There was a significant bias towards red causing video and pictures to look really weird. Even when using it in regular SDR srgb color mode which is the default Windows color profile.Due to all the reasons above I just decided to return the laptop because it was a completely disappointing experience. I've had other Acer laptops in the past and have been satisfied, other family members have them as well. It's too bad because I was really looking forward to this new laptop. Ultimately I chose to return it to Amazon and get a full refund under the 30 day return guarantee.
