I followed microwave directions and it sunk. The cake was mushy in the sink hole too. Not recommended

As some one who has used boxed cake mixes for over 45 yrs I thought this would be quick easy & equally delicious uhm in my opinion cakes should never be microwaved I cooked it accordingly but it was hard as a rock I had to throw it away it was inedible I got two of them at a good price so I'll eat the icing from the 2nd one which is delicious it's the only thing edible cakes are for ovens!

I was pleasantly surprised by how good the yellow cake with chocolate frosting was. The cake was great! Frosting could be better, and I hate the squeeze packet it came in, but it's not bad.The cake is the perfect size for a small event or dessert for for a few people, with minimal cleanup. The box says 4 servings, and required an egg, 2TBSP of vegetable oil, and 3 TBSP of water. I love that it comes with a pan, and the cake easily came out. The diameter is a little smaller than the height of my bottle water.I'll definitely buy it again for the price I paid - $2. For the two of us, anytime we make a cake, half of it goes to waste. I love these little cakes, but if the price goes up (like it tends to do on amazon), we'll probably buy regular sized stuff.

I call this duncan hines cake kit, lazy cake. It's just the right size and you have what you need to make it - short of adding the egg. My personal all time cake favorite is yellow or white cake with chocolate frosting so this fits the bill. Do I use this kit and eat regularly? No its purely a treat once in a very long time - but easy when I want a treat.
