My scope
Makes my job extremely easy

Doesn't hold itself straight beyond a foot or two
It's a nice gadget, but I'm trying to scope the hull of a yacht and this cable isn't stiff enough to support itself: the camera ends up in the dust and debris of the bbottom, with no way to push it forward as the cable just bends on itself when it encounters some resistance.

This thing is amazing!!!!!!
This is such a cool machine! I love that it articulates and is nice nd bright, even in the darkest location. Good resolution. Impossible to take a pic of this while using because both of my hands are being utilized but I have a scope for my iPhone and it’s nothing even close to how good this thing is and the display and articulated movement! Accept no less than the best and this is it!

Good picture resolution, one of the thinnest I've ever used, a little tough to articulate though
I have a couple of endoscopes (one several years old, but still works), this one has the clearest picture of any, at least as good brightness, but most pleasantly of all is how thin it is -- a lot of the time I'll use one for inspecting behind a wall (and more than once, the ceiling), and the smaller the hole to make & patch afterwards in the drywall THE BETTER.This is the first articulating scope I've ever had...I don't know if it's supposed to be this stiff to get it to articulate fully or not, but I didn't imagine it'd take that level of effort to turn the wheel to get it to bend. Maybe that's by design, maybe that "loosens up" over time, or maybe I just got one that was built stiffer than it's supposed to be (I don't know and unfortunately have no comparison to know).Love that it can take photo and video, and the built in screen (no secondary app or anything is needed, nor a screen that separately displays the image). Compared to my other 2 endoscopes, this thing is feature rich and hands down my new Go To!

5” screen and waterproof
This borescope is a really handy tool, with a high resolution 5” screen and a 5 foot long scope you can use this in automotive engines, small engines and household plumbing. The scopes camera is very slim and articulates up to 210% while inside of a cavity looking left and right. The camera has adjustable light intensity modes and also feature a zoom function. You can record video with sound to see if you can hear a problem. The scope has a high temp alarm if the cavity is to hot.

good quality scope from good brand
This is a good quality borescope. It is 1080p. At 5 feet in length, this is best for mechanical work, or I use mine for electrical. The head is articulating and is listed as 180 degrees of articulation capable. To achieve 180 degrees, you need to have the cable as straight as possible which can be a little tricky getting it articulated to where you need, but for my use of seeing into walls and looking for wires it works great. The scope comes with a 32gb micro SD which is nice. Overall, this is a good borescope for electrical or mechanical work.

Good image, stiff cable
I have two older scopes with 3.9 and 3.7mm diameters and the images from this 3.9mm are much better, although the built-in software and unit controls are more limited. I purchased this for the wifi (worked fine) to use an independent 10" tablet screen with it, but because you work the thumb 'stick' toggle to curve the camera and need to glance at it occasionally, you might as well stick to the built-in monitor (also good). I found the cable was too rigid and in the way for close-in work as it cannot and should not be looped. Despite articulating the camera to sight along a slight curve you can't then move ('push') the camera 'forward' to advance the cable behind it because it's straight. While the image is very good, the camera focal point is not where the lighting is aimed. I could not see the detail I needed when I got closer than where the the light was pointed (near end of tube).

Impressively small borescope with light
I have an older model borescope with light which does not offer the articulating functionality nor the clarity of this model. My expectation was a similar sized borescope to what I currently have. Reality was the scope end is tiny in comparison, I was truly surprised at how small it was. The articulating function makes this multiple times better than my previous unit and was really easy to use and control the angle of the camera. The light is sufficiently bright and has multiple brightness settings. There are a number of advanced features on this device which are all add up to a superior product. The unit features temperature sensing at the camera allowing you to avoid potential damage from excessive heat. The unit can be connected to a PC over USB-C, avoiding the need to pop out the tiny micro SD card to transfer recorded video and photos. The system also contains Wi-Fi functionality which allows you to connect to a phone or tablet with the free app to view what is being shown on the scopes screen. This will make displaying to others live video much easier. The fiber optic camera and scope display are old contained in a nice padded protective zipper case.

Top-notch Borescope - A "must-have" for the professional tradesman or home handyman.
The media could not be loaded. This review evaluates the “TD500 Articulating Borescope” made by TESLONG.The product was shipped with no excessive or wasteful packaging and all components were contained snugly in a form-fitted zippered case. What’s in the box: one (1 Articulating Borescope, one (1) AC charging power block, one (1) USB-CX to USB-A data cable, one (1) removable 32GB micro-SD card (installed in the unit), one (1) cleaning wipe sachet, and an owner’s manual.First impressions: Wow, I’m thoroughly impressed. Upon opening the box I immediately saw that it came in a nice, semi-rigid form-fitted case! I will say that this impressed me right off the jump. My biggest pet peeve is getting a tool kit that has multiple pieces and it is sold with either no case or a flimsy one. I hate trying to adapt some toolbox or Tupperware to suit my needs. I WILL ALWAYS PAY EXTRA FOR SUCH A CASE! It is so nice to pull out a complete kit to “go into battle” and get a breakdown fixed. This diagnostic unit is commercial/industrial grade; well-built with both a large 5" IPS LCD screen and the ability to stream video (record/take pictures) from a smartphone or tablet via WiFi and an APP. Right out of the box, the unit feels quality-made, indicative of a professional tool. The unit is powered by a rechargeable 3,000mAh lithium polymer battery via a 5V/1.2A or greater USB charging block (not included). The charging port and micro-SD port are located on the left-hand side of the screen bezel covered by a rubber grommet. The borescope is comprised of IP67 water resistant five (5) foot long, fiber optic armored cable with a 0.15” diameter articulating 6-LED illuminated camera head. This borescope head can be submerged in liquids (less than 70C/158F) up to five (5) feet and has adjustable brightness and the ability to articulate approximately 270 degrees. The ability to articulate the camera head is controlled by a central pivot wheel by scrolling your thumb up or down; the feel is very controlled and allows you to accurately pinpoint what you wish to look at. Your ability to record video/take pictures and control the light function is handled by two buttons located immediately adjacent to the right of your thumb wheel. The overall settings and ON/OFF buttons are controlled by several buttons below your 5” screen. The configuration/layout of this unit is very intuitive and not overly complicated.Although this borescope can be used as a fully standalone unit, it does have the capability of streaming to multiple people via an onboard WiFi module. Each person must download the “SMART ENDOSCOPE” APP (free download with the ability to disable adware by entering the data from a QR code included with the unit). You do have to sign up for an account with your email (free) and choose your own password. After the APP is downloaded and you set up your account, you must turn on WiFi in the settings of the borescope unit (note it doesn’t save this setting once you turn the unit off, perhaps for security reasons, so you must enable it each time you want to use this feature) and join its own WiFi SSID. Once joined other people can simultaneously view and record imagery via a tablet or a smartphone.Although I can’t imagine anyone wanting to do so with this device (mind you there are a lot of people that “march to their own drummer”): there is a warning on it that it is not designed for medical use… So if you are THAT type of person who lacks ALL sensibility and has a mind that CANNOT overrule your desire to perform stupid ideas; DO NOT use this device to try and perform your own DIY colonoscopy! LOL!I am evaluating this product as part of the Amazon Vine program so I am limited to a 30-day window to submit a review. To verify the durability of this product, I am going to monitor this product and its performance over the next 8-12 months of use and revise my review should problems arise.Cost-effectiveness and value: Overall I am extremely satisfied with the product; it is very well-made, comprehensive, and very easy to use. It has 1,001 uses and is an excellent addition for either a tradesman or a homeowner. At a current price of $499.99 plus a $100 off coupon, I feel that this product is very competitively priced for the quality and advanced functionality delivered. In summary: the “TD500 Articulating Borescope” made by TESLONG is very well-made and delivers excellent results at a price that doesn’t break the bank. This is a welcome, must-have addition for a tradesman or home mechanic/handyman whether you’re a novice or a professional. I would recommend this product without reservation.Pros 👍:✔ Very good quality and exceptionally well made.✔ Commercial/industrial grade.✔ Large 5” IPS LCD screen, easy to navigate through menus.✔ Removable micro-SD storage slot (32GB micro SD card included).✔ Rechargeable 3,000mAh onboard lithium polymer battery via an onboard USB-C port.✔ IP67 water resistant five (5) foot long, fiber optic armored cable.✔ 0.15” diameter articulating 6-LED illuminated camera head.✔ 270-degree articulation range and adjustable illumination.✔ Environmental range of 70C/158F.✔ Built-in WIFI.✔ Simultaneous streaming/recording of video/pictures via WiFi and free APP.✔ Comprehensive and easy to use for either a novice or a professional.✔ Zippered, form-fitted, protective carrying case included with the unit.✔ Competitively priced and very good value.Cons👎:✘ None!

Excellent usability, quality image performance.
Over the last couple of years, I have tested a few endoscopes / borescopes. I have used them for looking inside walls, engines, pipes, air ducts, eavestrough etc... Each unit that I have tested, have proven their worth but I must say that the this particular Teslong kit, has impressed me alot. The stand out feature on this scope, over all the others, is the articulating camera at the end of the cable. Via an arcing switch, you can manipulate the camera to "sweep" an arc of view, in front of it, making it very easy to get a really good look at things without having to jostling the camera line too much. It is a really powerful feature. This model is very well built, well sealed, well spec'd and easy to use and provides an excellent display that is integrated with the control portion of the rig. It feels great ergonomically and also handles with a rather "premium" feel. It would not surprise me to see a contractor use a boroscope of this caliber. This particular model has a very useful 16.4ft, semi rigid cable that not only gets you deep into a point of interest but it has just the right amount of "flex" and "rigidity" to get you where you want to go, around corners or rough joint ridges, with relative ease. This particular model also sports a LARGE and brightly lit 6" (integrated) high definition screen with handle mounted controls for zoom and wide view. This makes using this model, an absolute pleasure as it really allows one hand to guide the cable while the other is free to manipulate the camera on screen, as well as the image capture or video capture.Images are captured on a 32GB microSD card that allows easy transfer to other platforms. As well as video capture, there is the ability to take "one touch" still photos, on the fly. No need to fiddle with any "mode" changes. The stills can be captured while video is being recorded.Image orientation can be adjusted as well, so that you need not worry so much about the physical rotation or orientation of the cable. The end of the scope features an LED light that can be brightened or dimmed according to darkness or light reflection, as needed, on the fly.Though I have not got crazy with banging this unit around, I have tested the screen against light to moderate bangs and drops as well as pretty heavy misting of the monitor (display) and complete immersion of the camera in water. To date, this unit has worked flawlessly. The battery also gets it's own (segregated) shout out here because at 6 hours, that is a full day workhouse capacity, right there. I have used this scope and others like it, several times over the last while and I am not even 100% sure that COMBINED, I have used them for 6 hours. The battery life with this unit, is second to none. Please note the following though; it takes quite a few hours to charge this bad boy completely from a "dead" state. It should be noted that battery performance is subject to screen brightness setting as well as "wireless" functions being active or not.All-in-all, this has been one of my best experiences to date with any of the units that I have had the privilege to try to date. It is well made, feature rich, easy to handle and performs beautifully at a price that is lower than I would have expected. This one is a great value and a solid buy!Highly recommended!

Very nice that you can articulate the camera
The media could not be loaded. I needed a borescope for use around the house as well as for working on my cars and inspecting tight areas. This borescope came very well packaged. It comes packaged in a very nice case that holds the borescope and accessories. There is a user manual included which is easy to understand. It also comes with lens cleaning paper and a USB cable for charging. This borescope comes with a preinstalled micro SD card so you can save videos and pictures. The screen is a 5-inch screen and has a very crisp picture with vivid colors. The cable on this borescope is 5 feet long which is shorter than most but that is because of the 2 way articulating camera. There are LEDs surrounding the camera. You have a lot of buttons on the main unit that control the images and the cable. There is a button to change the brightness of the LEDs. You can change from video to still picture recording and save videos and pictures on the SD card. The thing that makes this borescope unique is the articulation of the camera with the knob on the borescope. You can turn the camera up to 180 degrees in 2 directions. This is very easy to do and allows you to easily look around the area you are inspecting without having to reposition the camera.Another unique feature of this borescope is that there is an app called "Smart Endoscope" that you can download onto your tablet or smartphone and then connect the borescope to the app. This allows a second person to see what the borescope is seeing. This works very well and if you follow the instructions it is very easy to set up. I would have preferred a Bluetooth connection but the Wi-Fi connection works well. There are a lot of settings on the borescope and you can date and time stamp your videos and pictures.I have used this already to look inside a wall to see the locations of the wiring without having to cut a large hole and it worked perfectly. I have yet to try this on a vehicle but the short length of the cable makes this a lot easier to use than some with much longer cables. The price of this borescope is very premium but there are a lot of unique features packed into this borescope making it worth the money for a professional grade tool.
