They work as described
I am very happy with my purchase. I almost passed up on these wonderful clips by listening to some of the reviews. But I decided to give them a try and I am surely happy I did. They work as advertised, the price is VERY REASONABLE , the delivery time from when I ordered them & got them was quick, & they were packaged well. So all around I am a happy camper. And just as a reference point I am using these in conjunction with bungee cords to hold a patio swing cover down. with all the high wind we get I didn't want my cover to blow away. We just got a high wind storm & they worked flawlessly

Good but there's a trick I've found that works great to hold them,..
i needed these for use with a car cover. we get some really high winds here during the winter months. having only two points to tie the cover down was not sufficient. i had some exactly like these years ago bought from a big box store. while they weren't perfect they worked and lasted a couple years.these to my eye are the same as those i had purchased before. i found in using in the past to push the piece up further to the point you just can't go any more. then you get a good grip but if you only push it the point where it feels tight enough, it isn't enough. these are hard plastic so after you walk away under stress the plastic will deform a little. a little is all it takes to come lose in the wind. also because they are hard plastic the thinner the material the less grip you get.*TIP i have found over time that if i fold over the fabric/material these clip to, i get a significantly better grip. i think most of the problems others mention with these can be easily avoided by folding the material so the crease where you clip it onto has more 'meat' to grip to hold. by in effect doubling the material thickness i haven't lost a car cover yet even in very high winds.all said these are just as i expected, no surprises or issues. while they aren't perfect for the money it's hard to complain. i would recommend these but with the caveat that if you want something better it will cost more. for me these work just fine.

Extremely easy to use & very effective.
I was in a bit of a pickle when my trophy bear rug arrived only to realize it was too big for my intended floor space. So....thinking out side the box why not hang it on the wall? Now what product could secure a valuable & heavy bear rug without harming the rug. Yup, you guessed it. I used a few more than I actually needed but I’m sure my trophy won’t move & is now highly visible walking up my stairway. Product worked extremely well for this task. My trophy is securely mounted & I’m very happy/pleased about it.

Meh. Should, hopefully work as planned
Needed a few to hold down my car cover in wind and storms bc it's stays parked for long periods. The jaws don't open very wide which might be a hassle with the doubled over edge of the cover or a thick tarp. Sturdy plastic. Not sure how they will perform in cold temps. Kind of expensive for pieces of molded plastic Have to use them then I will be back.

Good quality
I was looking for something to hold my mosquito net down to the ground to cover my blueberry bushes. I used these along with tent stakes to hold them down. Will occasionally let loose in a strong wind but works fine in normal conditions. I had some of these around the house and was looking to get more. Unable to find at a local store but was glad I was able to find on Amazon.

Great product!
Thank you for these great tarp/awning clips. We live in the mountains and have high winds and blizzard conditions in the winter. These tarp clips work great on our furniture covers over the winter months. They do not rip the covers but just hold them solidly over the winter. Best product for this ever! I use with bungee cords so that they have some tension. Big Chief Mountain in Colorado.

Sturdy, but style is hard to work with
I considered giving three stars, but the second deduction would have been due to my ignorance, not a flaw in the item. These seem sturdy and well-made and deserving of four stars. What I don’t like is that there is no automatic grip. Since I attach the clips in situ, this means that I have to hold the tarp taught with one hand, and position and tighten the clip with the other. That’s OK with twist tighteners, but not so much with pinch tighteners. Also, in order to tighten them all the way down, only the teeth can be attached to the tarp, so you have to be a little precise.I expect they would work better for someone using them to hold a tarp on the ground or over a tractor or something like that, than for what I am doing, which is attaching a tarp to posts as a roof.I would not buy this style again because I find them too hard to work with.

Small and Tough
Small and tough! Just what I was looking for to hold up a golf hitting net in my simulator room. The locking clamp makes them sturdy enough not to lose grip to hold together three layers of netting and the small size makes them discreet. They have even withstood the direct force of a 120mph shanked golf ball! Perfect for what I need.
