This is the first time I replaced an immersion heater. The saving by doing it myself was about £200. However I expect that 99% of my friends could not do it. Most would not have a large stilson spanner to crack the old thread. This was the most uncertain part as I was unsure of force to use. Quite a lot, and tapping with punch and hammer needed. Otherwise all was easy.Looking at a Utube video (how to) beforehand was helpful in assuring me that I had the skill and everything to do this job. The product itself was delivered on time and complete.

This item can be adjusted on the element to be a little hotter or cooler, Temperature is set at 66 degrees and it hot enough for a bath ect, so all I needed to do was fit it, the unit came with a new seal and was easily fitted,the wiring is easy to re-connect providing you take a note on how the old one was wired up, would suggest the plug is checked that the wire goes into as the wires can work loose over time. Good product with fast delivery highly recommend this.

Bought this on 8th May, delivered 10th May 2021, worked great for 3 months then stopped. Replaced thermostat but still not working.

It’s a back up for the boiler, can’t be without hot water.Expensive to run.

Direct replacement for furred up version of same. No issues
