Retro gaming at its finest.
The x55 is a great retro gaming machine. I did by my own sd card as I’ve heard the card it comes with can corrupt easily.

Extremely low quality
The media could not be loaded. I have several Powkiddy handhelds among other brands as well and they all are great! I must say this is nothing but a worthless piece of junk. It has horrible screen bleeding. Everytime I clean the screen it makes shadow of the screen image that's on at the time. Example, I had Mega Drive up and just wiped the screen to clean it. Afterwards I began playing NeoGeo, when I the NeoGeo screen came up Mega Drive was etched in background. Also, came with screen burn in of 32X. You can see this when its booting up and the gray screen comes up in between bootup screens. I mean this is just cheap junky garbage. I would stay away from this one.

Great budget handheld, but with a few problems. BTW, slow boot can be fixed.
Yes, this is very long, but it's worth the read:First of all, the extremely long boot time can be fixed with an OS update. Instructions are below.**** EDIT - Because of Nintendo's recent lawsuit with an unrelated emulator, JelOS has stopped supporting all devices. The most recent updates are still available on their website, but there won't be any more. If you want an earlier release (some people have had problems with the newest one) I recommend checking Reddit for information about where to find them. ****This is a VERY nice budget retro handheld, with a beautiful 5.5 inch screen. It's surprisingly light, has a comfortable grip, good speakers, but it's a bit bulky because of that screen. This definitely isn't one you can carry around in your pocket. You can add games whenever you want. It's not incredibly powerful, so you won't be playing PS2 games or anything, and you may need to tweak some settings to get some higher-end games & systems to be playable. One problem is how incredibly LOUD the shoulder & front function buttons are. I've never had anything that's so clicky, but it's not a deal breaker for me. Also, the volume buttons are on the front, with each one on opposite sides of the screen. The volume up is on the left side, and volume down is on the right. Who though that design was a good idea???Another problem is that even though the X55 uses USB C, it requires a USB A to C cable to charge it. Plugging it into a C to C charger won't work. Here's some advice to get started:1 - Buy 2 new micro SD cards right away. The ones that come with budget handhelds are almost always terrible quality, and will most likely only last a few months at best. I bought a 32gb Sandisk micro SD for the OS, and a 128gb one for the roms. Currently, the X55 only supports up to 256gb cards, but that might change with future updates (or maybe it has, I haven't tried).2 - If you have space on your PC, copy every single file & folder from the original roms micro SD (not just that one specific folder), so you have a backup. It's a lot to transfer, but definitely worth it.3 - Copy that entire mess to the new micro SD card you want the games on.4 - Download & flash the newest version of JelOS to your new OS card. Google and YouTube are your friends, and it's not very hard. The one included is most likely an old unofficial version, which takes over 90 seconds to boot. I got the black X55 model, which is supposed to have the new OS installed, but still only had the unofficial one. One big thing to remember is that certain devices require specific files (the list is directly on the JelOS webite). Make sure you get the X55's one, as installing the wrong one can completely brick the handheld. After you do that, booting the system only takes 15-20 seconds!5 - Insert **ONLY** the JelOS card, then start it up and let it work its magic. If you put the roms card at the same time as the first installation, it might not be able to detect it.6 - Once that's done, power it off through the menu (don't just hold down the power button), then insert the roms disk into the slot on the right.7 - Change the menu settings to your liking. It looks like certain emulators depend on the locations of the BIOS files. They're in the "<root>/bios>" folder by default, but some may need to be moved into the empty "&<root>/roms/bios" one. The Sega CD games didn't work at first for me, but when I copied its bios files into the new folder, it worked fine. I don't know exactly which ones need to be where, so check online for a list, or just do trial & error one at a time.Future updates to JelOS can be downloaded & installed over the handheld's wifi. It can sometimes be an extremely slow process, but much easier than having to take out the card and manually do it through the PC every time. All in all, I highly recommend the X55 to any retro gamer who isn't looking for something really powerful.

Retro gaming console
I wasn't really sure what to expect when I first got this, but it's actually pretty coolI wasn't really sure what to expect when I first got this, but it's actually pretty cool. The unit itself is kind of almost like a Nintendo switch. And so far, there's only one minor downside. That's not really that big of a deal, as long as you treat it with care. This thing comes with 2 SD card slots that you can load up with games. So you can really hone in what you like to play. It also seems to be built out of very durable material. And I've had it for quite some time now and haven't had any issues with durability. This screen is also very good and bright, and it holds a very good charge. But the one issue I have is is not a touchscreen, and I thought it was at first and when I went to push on it, I seen all the little led lights melting away and they take a little bit of time to come back and I really thought I broke it when I first got it. So eventually, they all did come back with no damage, but when I put the screen protector on it also did it again, so you have to be kind of very careful with the screen but other than that, the union is great. There's tons of games that you can put on these things, and not only that with it being a retro console. You can put times are different games.Overall, I highly recommend this thing, it's actually pretty phenomenal for what it is, it comes with usbc charging and tons of games on it, and you can protect the screen and it fits in an internet switch case.
