SAT Prep 2018 & 2019: SAT Prep Book 2018 & 2019 and Practice Test Questions for the College Board SAT Exam

The math portion is especially helpful because my student for whom I purchased the book is not a strong math student. He made a serious attempt at the practice questions. He found the explanations to the answers very helpful even for the ones he answered correctly. It was a reinforcement if his approach. We will be keeping this as a resource as it gets closer to the scheduled test date.

Good stuff

Arrived on time and in good condition. Our son will be using it to get ready for taking the SAT this year in high school, so time will tell if it helps him prepare and do well on the test.

I thought the comprehensive guides before the questions were extremely helpful, as well as the explained answers so I could understand what I did wrong. I would have appreciated one full practice test so I could have timed myself and mimicked actual testing day.

It's an amazing study guide. it contains lots of information about the test as well as lots of tips and tricks on how to take it as well. It's put in simple language so that it's easy to understand.

Disclosure: I was sent a copy of this book to review for Amazon.Before you read this review, keep in mind that I haven't taken a general college entrance exam (SAT or ACT) in over 10 years. In that time, I'm certain that the tests have changed significantly. However, I can only review the book on my most recent experience with a college entrance exam, and (as mentioned previously) this experience is over a decade old.The book is professionally written and easy to follow. The questions asked in the book are satisfactorily answered in the answer key at the end of each section of the book. The content of the questions in the book seem too shallow to be useful in securing success on a college entrance exam. The book seems to be more useful as a refresher book for students that are already confident in the knowledge they've learned in the K-12 system. Outside of a refresher, I don't see this book as being particularly useful in learning enough material to be safely take the SAT with a satisfactory score.Keep in mind that the new SATs may be different than the SATs that were administered over a decade ago. It is quite possible that this book is a valid study guide for the 2018 student.

Used this book to prepare my son on the SAT. Then contacted tutor and tutor used the exact same tests. You can use this book and help your child increase the SAT scores.
