Graco EveryWay Soother Baby Swing with Removable Rocker, Tristan

My baby was one month when I realized that I needed an automatic bouncer. Before then, I thought I could bounce her or use one of those manually (hand-push) bouncing chairs that we owned (two of them) will do the trick. But with sleep-deprived state of mind and body could not keep up with crying baby that needed to be held constantly. I found myself falling a sleep while trying to push the manual bouncer. I couldn't do anything: didn't have time to eat, wash, or go to bathroom. I was DESPERATE. If you're reading this review, you probably are too and looking for something that you can give you at least a bathroom break.. Well, I thought I can't possibly spend this much money on something that the baby will only use it for 6-10 months, if we're lucky.It all changed. I didn't care how much it costed as long as I could get some break and my baby can sleep or hang out without crying. So I did my research and ended up comparing this brand and mamaRoo. I watched the videos that were available and read reviews and thought mamaRoo seemed like a better choice: (based on the reviews I read) less jerky moves and sleek design (I didn't care so much about wireless stuff) so I ordered one.MamaRoo broke after third day. I couldn't believe it. Yes, it was nice looking, but babies don't care what it looks like. Yes, my baby, at first, didn't like it but she got used to being in it. But the third day, the display wouldn't turn on and the thing wouldn't move! Also, the music/volume stunk and it was almost useless. Only then, I found out that there were other people who had similar issues as mine. So I immediately returned the item and purchased this brand. I am so glad I did.As soon as I opened the package, I was so glad how comfortable the seat and the fabric was (way more comfortable than mamaRoo) for my baby. The music choice and volume was way better. It gave more options for different movements. It had vibrations which mamaRoo didn't have. I didn't use mine for portable bouncer thing since I already owned two others for each floor. But the moment I put my baby in the bouncer, she loved it. She slept in it few times initially. My husband and I were able to have dinner at the same time for the first time while our baby is watching/hanging out in the bouncer. I was able to go to bathroom or eat while she was lounging or napping. I hung my own mobile to the attachment it came with. (with mamaRoo I couldn't) She eventually stopped taking naps here as she got older and bigger. When she was 5 months, the bottom strap thing got really tight and started hurting/digging into her thighs. (We have a big baby. She weighed almost 16 lb at her 4 months check-up, and at 18 lb at 6 months) So I stopped using the strap altogether for a while and she was so snug and comfortable in there I didn't worry that she would fall out (of course, we were watching her constantly). She just turned 6 months and she still loves hanging out in this bouncer. We can adjust the seat setting so now she's more like sitting rather than lying. This is her rocking chair. She rocks herself in it and chews on her teething toys or just simply watch us having dinner or babble and laugh as we interact with each other. Now she can roll over or lean forward, I decided to cut the bottom clip thing and attach it to the waist buckle to hold her that way. It works like a seat belt like in the air plane now. She still bounces and kicks her legs--both me and my husband are mesmerized at how strong this bouncer is. We own Graco everything: infant carrier/stroller, two car seats, high chair, and this bouncer. We're not sponsored by Graco or anything, but just like the sturdy, well-made products that will last long time without costing fortune. This bouncer certainly was worth every penny. We love this bouncer and will have our girl use it as long as she can, and keep it for our next baby or give it to someone else someday. I highly recommend it! (BTW, I don't have time to write reviews, but I decided to write this one since I loved it so much. Also, I have so many good photos/videos of her bouncing in this, but decided not to post one for her privacy.)

The media could not be loaded. *update* My baby is 2 months old now and she loves this swing! I can try everything to calm her down with nothing working. 6 out of 10 times when I put her in this swing crying her head off she'll stop and either fall asleep or just lay there totally content. I'm so happy I bought this and only wish I had one with my other kids!My baby girl isn't here yet but Mommy and Daddy are really happy with it! I love the height and all the different motions. The music is really pretty as well and there are so many songs. It's soft and really cute.The only negative I could see right now is when the fabric needs to be cleaned, it's going to be a pain getting it off and on again. But that's how most baby items are. I'll probably put a blanket on it to prevent blow outs leaking on it.Definitely glad I went with this over the Mamaroo!

The swing is wonderful. The carousel-like functionality is the best part. The seat and headrest are plush. I’m a handicap mother of four and I purchased this one for my very first baby girl and she enjoys it. She’s 6 weeks old and we’ve had it for about 3weeks now. She naps in it. The chair does sit forward and I do have to use the seat buckle but she loves that position because she can watch her older brothers (4yrs,7yrs) dance, flip and roughhouse all day. Lol. The music is not as bad as some other customer reviews mentioned. If the baby likes it...hey... cool with me, right! After all ... the music is designed to soothe the “baby” not mommies and daddies. The swing can be a bit jolty on some setting and it seems to me she likes it because it’s not so rough, it’s sort of close to the natural feel of when I’m carrying her around the house..Working... with her riding along and almost always falling asleep. Mostly easy to assemble, as long as you have a screw driver. It will be easy to clean as the cover is quite easy to take off once it is unsnapped and such. It is pretty sturdy, safe enough that I feel comfortable with him in there. I'm absolutely in love with the removable bouncer feature. The soother is pretty quite but the audio system is pretty bad. The soother is smooth in movements, even the faster move patterns. There are many different movement patterns and are very soothing just to look at, also we live in a camper 90% of the time, traveling out of state to my husband's job, and it doesnt take up much room We have a 2015 Keystone Cougar, its a front living room model so we have a lot of room in our living space, I was quite surprised by how compact it is.. the one thing I love the most about this is the 2 in 1 removable bouncer feature! Idk why we didnt get this sooner. I'd buy again of needed too.

We tried a couple of the other highly reviewed, $200+ swings on Amazon and they just did not live up to the hype. This Graco does everything those others do, is quieter, and more portable. At the time of writing this review we have logged easily over 15,000 hours of use on this swing. Our baby loved it and because of that so did we. The motor is not loud, but makes a great ambient droning noise, and when combined with the white noise from the speaker makes the perfect baby sleep environment for us. The worst thing it does is times out at 4 hours and instantly shuts down which is jarring and plunges the room into silence. We would set a timer for 3 hrs 55 min and sneak in to power it down and turn it back on real quick to reset it. For the price, this swing cannot be beat. I am only writing this now, nearly a year after purchase, because our baby has hit the weight limit (about 20 lbs) and the seat sags down too far and hits the plastic motor housing. This was a great investment and Graco really delivered on this product.
