Great filter for starting with long shutter speeds
I was looking to get into long shutter speed, infact I have always experimented with this type of shot but always struggled to get the right conditions, this does give over 6 stops of compensation. In some instances it still might not be enough, I read poor reviews of the adjustable ones and steered clear as they are 2 polarisers linked together and reports of varying light across the frame put me off. This is a high quality filter and you are always better with a fixed one I would say.The shots I have got up to now are great and as expected. Long shutter speed shots are a bit hit and miss and unless you have loads of gear, ie variety of filters its a case of experimenting with the time of day, scene and time of shutter speed to get the result you decide is for you.As an amateur though there is a cost consideration. You could stack these but watch out for vignetting. If your looking for 20 30 secs plus you need a darker filter than this. But if you can get your iso low enough, your aperture high enough you should get about 1 second on a cloudy day midday.

Great quality filter - allows for silky smooth water, at a great price!!
Fantastic filter. I tried this at the weekend on a waterfall. Middle of the day, I managed to get 30second exposures with no other filter on (ie, the ND was doing all the work). I took the filter off and for a long exposure without any filter, the best I could get was 4-5 seconds before the screen would "white out". Cant wait to take this filter on holiday to hit sunsets and oceans. Paid a great price for this £20. Couldnt justify the £60+ other sites were asking, and by luck, I came across this (the less-stop down was £38 and stop down again was £18, so I went for this stop amount (6.7 stops). Allows you to produce some great silk effects on the water. Havent used it for anything other than waterfalls yet but plan to catch clouds and passer-by in the middle of the day. All SLR users need one of these!! (Bit annoyed with the postage - started an Amazon prime trial to get this the next day (Saturday delivery) but didnt arrive on Saturday. However, did arrive very first thing Sunday!! That wont take away from the 5 stars though (Also, no colour/quality alteration when using hte filter - prodcues excellent quality photos!)

Great Product, Sloooow delivery.
Great Product. A good ND grad to go for, its dark enough to get some nice long exposures but not TOO dark as you can see through it and compose your pictures WITHOUT having to take it off! It has a useful filter thread on the front so you can still use other filters whilst using this one.I orderd this over a week ago and its delivery estimate was Monday to Thursday. As I am going on holiday to Skye this next week I needed this to come in time... It DID arrive eventually today (Saturday) however and if it hadn't come before next Friday Camera King WOULD have sent me another soooo all in all abit dissapointing as it didn't come when it said it would BUT It did arrive and the women on the phone was helpful so im not going to say don't buy from Camera King but do NOT expect it to arrive when it says it will!

Top value
Great value filter that consistently out performs filters costing many times more. Check the reviews on line and see for your self the colours and sharpness. Very highly recommendedPhoto taken in very bright conditions yet still managed to soften the water etc - exposure calculations are easy

Great for video in bright daylight with a wide aperture.
I bought this to use on my Sigma 18-35mm F1.8 lens when filming video in bright daylight. This is a great darkness that enables me to film at a shutter speed of 1/50 at ISO 100 in bright daylight, wide open at F1.8, getting the right exposure. Means I can get a nice blurry background, even it bright daylight.Product comes in hard packaging, and when used shows no signs of colour cast over the image. It also comes in handy for doing daytime long exposures

Fantastic filter. The ND 200 provides enough power to stop down in daylight to get those longer exposure shots. It might struggle in very bright sunlight but for general use I think it would be a good choice. Even at dusk my camera managed to lock on focus through this filter and provide some long exposures up to around 1 minute. Image quality is excellent as is the build quality. Buy the size that fits your largest diameter lens and then buy some cheap 'step up' rings to use it on any other smaller lenses you might have.

Just the right onw
Excellent filter that does the job. If you are going to buy any screw-on ND filters, I don't recommend any other brand other than Hoya. I've had a lot of ND filters from other brands and have big problems with red casting. The ND 200 os not too dark or too light.
