I enjoyed it so much I took it with me to St Petersburgh where I viewed the real thing and would recommend readers to do the same.

The author is Henry Charles Bainbridge who knew and worked with the genius Faberge.An interesting if rambling book. You have to be curious about the subject I feel before buying the book, otherwise it would be boring!

Sadly not in colour which I don't expect because of its age but doesn't detract from the comprehensive text.
