Then P=I*E comes to 60(P) watts equals 5(I) amps times 12(E) volts. P=watts I=amps E-volts. **Q: I just ordered these. There is no center pin as described in one end of the cable?** A: There isn't supposed to be a center pin on these types of cables. The center pin is on the "female" plug side, paradoxically. **Q: Is the tip 9.5mm or 12mm?** A: I measured the tip of the plug to the beginning of the plastic body as 12.25mm +/- .15mm . The plastic body isn't high tech so the dimension is somewhat variable. **Q: Can this be used to connect a solar panel to a power station?** A: You will need to have the proper adaptor. Most adaptor kits that allow the user to connect devices with two different adaptor types use this. There are a lot of kits available on Amazon. Just make sure that you get one that has the type of connectors that you need on each end. You could use them for solar but according to the seller, they are rated at 5A. I would not use them for solar unless it is a small system. If you have a 12V solar system, then you would not want to go over 60W (12Vx5A=60W). If the panel puts out 24V, then you could go up to 120W (24Vx5A=120W). Don't go over 5 Amps. It might be better to find one that has a higher current rating. As far as adaptors, Amazon has tons of kits.
