BrixOriginal Easy Jar Key Opener 2-Pack, Stainless Steel Jar Opener

I am originally from Denmark and have been using this tool there and brought it with me to the US many years ago. A few days ago, my last Danish jarprope tool broke and I was overjoyed to learn that I don't have to ask my Danish family to send it to me because I found it here, in the US. This is the only tool that works on screw-top jars. It effortlessly releases the pressure in the jar after which the screw-cap can easily be turned to open the jar. I looked at some of the negative reviews here, where the authors claim that the tool does not work because it did not release the pressure from Mason jars. This tool is not designed to, and does not work on Mason jars, as it is a different mechanism that keeps the pressure in a Mason jar. It works on all screw cap jars (the ones that do not have a rubberized plate under the screw cap) and is the only tool on the market that invariably helps to open them.

I give these to all of my friends. They work like a charm by unlocking the vacuum with a "pop" on jars where the lids won't open.

I was surprised at how well this BRIX Jar Key works. Hook it over the edge of the jar lid and gently pull up the handle until you hear the vacuum seal release. Then the cap unscrews as easily as any already opened jar. Comfortable to use and seems very well made. Excellent product!

This is the most simple, most useful tool ever made. If you have difficulty opening vacuum packed jars, get one immediately!Just one quick upward motion pops the top and makes opening a breeze. I gave one to a 91 yr old friend at church and she thanks me every week! Arthritis severely limits my hand use and this little, virtually indestructible tool is a blessing.

I have had a similar jar top opener for a long & it is really very handy for some of those jars, such as pickle jars. Was giving these as Christmas gifts for family members.

The item works fine - very handy and easy to use. The single star is for the mis-information in the description. It states that it is made of stainless steel - it is PLASTIC. That's a very big deal and should be corrected immediately
