The media could not be loaded.  So far.. no leaking. Make sure it gets tightened into the grooves all the way. It's a little tighter fit than the original brand for this fountain. Will re-rate after I clean it on first week in. My cats seem to like the taste of the water.Update.. still not leaking. I now give this product a 5 star per my cats.

I would give this zero stars if possible. The filter does not work and leaks water EVERYWHERE. I shouldn’t have ordered after I saw many reviews having the same issue but this is the only option available. The filter was secured properly but still leaked water all over my floor. The bowl was completely full yesterday and now has barely anything left. The company Cat Care has changed their name to Dog Care and they no longer make the real filters making this piece of junk your only option. They are still selling the water fountain knowing there aren’t replacement filters available too, not cool! Don’t waste your time or $28 on these. I ended up having to do a return on these filters and bought a new water fountain from another company that has replacement filters available.

I just dont like that these are the only off brand anx they need replaced monthly. Other than that no complaints. I do weekly cleans and check or replace the foam filter and monthly deep cleans replacing all filters. My animals love the fountain even though its the smallest in the house over other fountain and gravity water feeders.

One of the two filters leaked all over the place, thankfully I have the water dispenser sitting on a pad so it collected all the water, but I noticed quickly after the freshly-filled water bowl was nearly empty after 30 minutes. I was able to get a refund from Amazon for the faulty filter which was appreciated. The second filter works fine, although I notice it requires a little more effort to fully click into place to ensure no leaking. I do still have a little water puddle now and then, so I think the second one is leaking as well but just at a much slower pace. I appreciate the value and that you can basically get two for the price of one going the generic route vs. paying brand name, but I definitely am a bit hesitant to repurchase after having a few issues.

DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT

I am normally perfectly fine with generic or aftermarket products, but in this case, stick with the brand name filters. These filters work fine for only about a month, then they start to trickle slower and slower. The name-brand one lasted at least 90 days, so I will stick with the name-brand. save te money and buy 1 name-brand over 3 of these.

Made the cat bowl leak and before no time the floor was drenched and the cats had no water in the actual bowl to drink.

Flow rate is very poor on these and they do not last as long as the originals.
