Let me start by saying that I love the idea of the neopixels themselves.The problem with this product is that these are INDIVIDUAL neopixels. They come together in a package that makes it look like they are connected in a strip, but they are NOT connected. Each one needs to be individually soldered. Contrary to the description, it is not easy to solder them because the pads are tiny and it is easy to make a mistake. I was able to solder all of the wires onto one and get it to work (the light show is actually very cool, see my video). However, after much frustration with the soldering, I never managed to get a second neoxpixel to connect to the first one.While this product may be fine for someone who wants a project with lots of individual neopixels (and is willing to take a considerable amount of time soldering), in my opinion in defeats the whole purpose which is for them to be in long strips. Do yourself a favor and save some time by buying ones that are pre-soldered together.*The photo for this item is misleading. It makes it look like the neopixels are already connected in row. They should add a picture of the actual little white squares which are the neopixels.

I was disappointed with this purchase. I didn't realize that these LED's were actually housed in a little plastic bubble and that each one was separate. Because my vision isn't as good as it used to be, I find it extremely difficult to solder such tiny units anywhere. They're still sitting in by parts box unused.

Save you're self a lot of time and money don't buy them. They are very difficult to solder ad you will end up trashing the whole set before you know it.
