Once assembled and fueled, the engine started up on the first pull and has continued to do so after a day of using it. Wearing the engine on your back is comfortable, and the wand with one extension is light compared with using a strimmer/cutter with the engine attached. One thing to note - this machine can only be used right handed due to the position of the exhaust. Using left handed swivels the engine so that the exhaust points directly into the centre of your back rather than to the side, as it does when using right handed. The instructions tell you too use it right handed only, but that's not obvious before you buy, so if that's going to be an issue for you, i'd think twice. Using the strimmer with the flex cord attached to the engine on your back is somewhat more restrictive than just using one with the engine on the end as your swing is more restricted, but you get way less vibration and weight, so can be used for longer without tiring. Adding extra extensions though significantly increases the weight, especially when loaded with the hedge trimmer, although I've used 4.5m long reaches before with the engine attached and they're way heavier.The quality of the bump strimmer is better than most I've used. It's solid and well constructed, but can be a bit tricky to re-string. The hedge strimmer is exceptionally sharp. I haven't used the charm saw yet, but again, it appears to be reasonably good quality.I managed to face a 40ft long by 15ft high hedge in about 20 minutes without using a ladder, using just the single length and 4.5m length poles. Much much faster than I've managed before.Adding and removing lengths can be a bit tricky. This is one area I'd have to mark the design down a bit as you basically require 3 hands. You need to pull a spring pin out from the side of the section you want to remove, and at the same time, pull the two sections apart. That's virtually impossible without help, or you could do what I did and make a little wooden wedge with a split in it, to hold the spring pin out for you, while you pull the sections apart.The toolkit, spare spark plug, safety goggles, gloves and ear muffs are all a nice little set of extras. Not the best quality, but definitely good enough. The storage bag for tools on the back of the unit is also i nice little feature.All in all, there's a few little niggles with the machine, but none would put me off buying it if I had the opportunity to try it first. For the money, I'd definitely give 5 stars. It does everything you'd expect and doesn't feel like it's going to break after the first use. ### ⭐ Dangerous to use. *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 18 March 2026* Not sutable for use as extremely dangerous. Had caused a injury and rhe company is not interested in replacing with suitable item. Would definitely not recommend. Very disappointed. Had given them alternatives but that wasnt any good to them.
