Beautifully informative
This is such a stunning book with so much interesting information about plants and their restorative features, helpful remedies. I would be careful about relying only on this book's illustrations to gather any plants/herbs unless you are trained, as some plants can be confused for others and cause illness etc.Whether you're reading for the history aspect or you want to find out more about herbal remedies this book is great.

Options that I hadn't heard of before
I have plenty of symptoms to work through with multiple chronic illnesses. As a result, I was excited to get this book, but I had a mixed first impression. The ones that I took interest in, some I couldn't do, because they clashed with what I was already taking. However, there's usually quite a few different options given. In the early pages, I noticed how my mild fatty liver might be the cause of some of my symptoms. It's more educational than I expected. The one thing that confuses me is the "from the garden" section. Just the names of the herbs are listed, but not what to do with them. I'm honestly surprised how many of the suggestions are relevant to me and so far I've tried out lime flower and passion flower, with mixed results. I now have artichoke leaf on the way. All three of these are new to me.

Lovely book, a charming and informative read on home remedies
I recently picked up “The Home Herbal: Restorative Herbal Remedies for the Mind, Body, and Soul” and I must say, it’s a treasure trove of knowledge. The author, Andrew Chevallier, has done a remarkable job of making herbal medicine accessible to everyone. The book is organized intuitively by everyday needs and ailments, which makes it incredibly easy to find just the right herbal remedy. What I love most about this book is its holistic approach. It doesn’t just list remedies; it encourages you to understand the causes of your symptoms and the mind-body connection. This perspective is empowering and aligns with my philosophy of self-care.The guide is beautifully illustrated and contains over 100 easy-to-make remedies that address both mental and physical well-being. Whether it’s poor sleep, common colds, or menstrual problems, this book covers a wide range of issues with practical solutions.
