Excellent Helmet
Well packaged, this helmet is excellent in every way. Easy to assemble, has directions. Fits well with the ratchet knob adjustment, very comfortable. Feels very sturdy and heavy duty and I think it will last a long time and hold up very well through the years. I looked at allot of these helmets and decided on this one and I am very glad I did. Well worth the money in every way.

ear protection broke first day
I have many hard hats and like the brim style so ordered this 5/7/24. I should have read the review. It arrived on 5/10/24 so that was good. Packaged well, not damaged in shipping. Assembly was a little hard getting the plastic ear protection muffs inserted in the helmet slots but fit tight so thought that was good. Trick was to assemble them in the rearward stow position on the helmet. Once assembled it seemed solid. Upon adjusting the helmet to fit, it was snug like I like it except the chin strap was flimsy which I probably wouldn't use anyways. Pulled the ear protection down and heard a crack, sure enough the plastic mount cracked where the wire holders go into it. Obviously, the metal wire was too much stress for the plastic mount. Id it was all made out of ABS plastic it probably wouldn't have broken. Never got the chance to really test it out while cutting wood.

You get your money's worth
Not completely a terrible hard hat. Original fit was pretty good. The hat seems to be sturdy enough and the sweat band was comfortable. The face shield fit the brim nicely without leaving a gap and holds in all positions well. Then the actual work started...I started my saw after ensuring the hat was on and the earmuffs were adjusted over my ears correctly. Otherwise, I wouldn't have had enough hands to hold a running saw and fight the ear protection into position. After cutting for a few minutes, I decided to tighten the headband to stop the hat from wiggling and the ratchet adjuster stripped and began pulling to one side. While I like my hard hats to fit snuggly; I don't think I tightened it enough that it should strip the ratchet. I wound up working the rest of the day with the hat flopping on my head, held on by the ear muffs. The earmuffs were comfortable and quiet, but were hard to adjust back into position if you brushed them or hit your head knocking the hardhat. They also don't have a standout position so that they aren't actually covering your ears ALL day.Needless to say... I'm looking for another chainsaw hard hat before my next day of cutting.

Surprisingly nice.
Let me start by saying I am not a professional tree man nor am I in the forestry business. I am a homeowner/landowner and DIY'er, thus my review will be written from that perspective.I had another brand of forestry hardhat that the ear muffs' broke on, so I got this one to replace it. My other one always felt "cheap", and indeed it was. This one is the opposite of that. It actually feels like a quality hard hat and has much better suspension components. The hardhat itself is a very thick/quality plastic (I work at a chemical plant and use name-brand hardhats every day; so I have a point of reference for this). The earmuffs claim to have a NRR of -24dB, and they do a good job of lowering the noise level. The headband adjustment dial in the back is 'ok', and could be better, but it does work. My only real complaint is that due to the shape of the hardhat, the face-shield mounts must be in their foreword-most position. If you move it backwards any more, then the frame binds against the hat and will not operate (go up and down) to it's full extent. In the foreword position, there is a small gap between the hat and the shield frame. This also leaves a bit of room open on the sides. This shouldn't be too big of an issue, but it does provide more opportunity for wood chips to get around the face-shield. Other than that, it's great! As a bonus, it even came with a "welding cap" and a pair of safety glasses. Note: The assembly manual is mediocre and obviously poorly translated, but assembly is straightforward.

Just not up to real-world work
This seemed like a good deal, but when the helmet was received, I was disappointed. The ear protection did not retract well, and also did not stay adjusted to my head when on. The mesh screen was cheap plastic. The helmet harness and chin strap felt flimsy. After returning this Green Devil, I visited my local Stihl dealership, and for $30 more, found a helmet with better ear pro, a better harness, easier size adjustment, a steel mesh face screen, and of course came pre-assembled as well. The higher price was worth it to me.

Hard hat is ok, but the visor and muffs are poor quality.
Hard hat seems good, but the muffs and visor are poor quality and feel like they will break during normal use.

Poor fit
It seemed good out of the box and the quality looks good but it dosent fit. I know you can adjust it with the ratchet in the back, but I don't have a small head and I have it fully tightened and it's still sloppy on the top. I know the chin strap is included but I have a beard and It's not comfy, I would use the strap if I needed too but most of the work I do a ratchet would suffice. The ear pro also does not fit/provide adequate protection. I used it once and will be returning it.

It's garbage
Extremely poor fit. The ear muffs came apart while trying to get it from the stowed position. The shield is flimsy and loose. Looks pretty but that's the best thing I can say about it.Not recommended at all.
