I can’t imagine the name-brand product being any better than this Newsets set. I’m very impressed by the quality; these are solid, heavy, and feel built to last. The pasta roller goes from 8 (thickest) to 1 (thinnest). I stopped at #2 for a perfect capellini. The spaghetti cutter worked flawlessly with no sticking. While I haven't tested the fettuccine attachment yet, the build quality gives me total confidence it will perform just as well. If you're looking for a heavy-duty alternative to the expensive originals, I highly recommend this set!

Got this for my mom for Christmas to use with her kitchen aid. She said she loves it! It’s great quality, easy to use, and makes cutting her home made pasta a breeze. Definitely worth the money to see how happy it has made her.

When I first received these, my first impression was that the quality of the design and construction seemed lacking compared to how they looked in the pictures. They are also clearly a cheaper design than the ones KitchenAid puts their name on. That said, they do function quite well. I did opt to unscrew the end covers and carefully lubricate the bearings on each unit to lessen the load on the machine, especially since the mesh between the rollers (where I can't lubricate without contaminating the pasta) is fairly tight and creates some drag that you can hear putting strain on the motor of the mixer. This is especially true for the one that cuts smaller noodles, since there is more rotating surface area coming into contact due to the higher number of narrower rollers. The unit that rolls out the dough to the desired thickness is also effective, although the numbering scheme on the knob that controls the distance between the rollers, and thus, the thickness of the pasta, seems to be the reverse from what the name brand version uses, so be careful if you are replacing another unit or you are accustomed to the numbering on an OEM version. The knob design is a little tricky to use with hands covered in flour, but you do get used to it and it isn't so bad that it greatly impedes your ability to use the machine. My last callout is that cleaning is a mixed bag, since the complex assembly cannot be easily disassembled for thorough cleaning, but it is also not likely to get so terribly dirty that you need to deep clean it. At the very least, nobody would blame you for giving it a good rinse with a firm blast of water and letting it air dry on a dish towel. I don't know if it is considered dishwasher safe, but there are lots of areas like the geartrains on both ends of each unit where water could get trapped and cause corrosion or rusting, so I would not recommend that. Overall, these rollers are a good, functional accessories that provide good, economical value compared to their brand name counterparts, even if they are not going to win any beauty contests.

We took a pasta making class. We made pasta one time hand rolling it and decided to try these attachments. We recieved them and made pasta the next day. They worked perfectly. We made half our pasta into spaghetti and half into fettuccini. The only issue is the spaghetti attachment is more like angel hair than spaghetti but it’s fine.

Works perfectly. Have used it make ravioli, spaghetti and bowtie pasta. Rolls it out perfectly.

The fit, weight, finish, and operation (so far) have been smooth and impressive. They fit my mixer perfectly and cut beautifully. First impressions are definitely good ones.
