We absolutely love these! I had paid someone to install these, so I was a bit disappointed when the delivery date for one, I ordered two, was going to be delayed. However, the customer service responded to me immediately and adequately solved my issue, excellent customer service. We ordered these based on reviews and the affordable pricing alone. The quality of these shades exceeded our expectations. They are very well made, and quite sturdy. My yard gets extremely windy, so I was hesitant to open it on a particularly windy day, but it handled it no problem. It provides cover from the wind, while also providing shade and privacy. Plus, they look great! Like I said, we love them and would highly recommend. Oh and I mentioned having someone to install, he said it was so easy to install, it only took a very short time.

My brick exterior home faces north, with my back porch on the south west corner of the house. In Texas in the summer, the back patio is a literal brick oven.I got the porch expanded and the patio covered, and that helped a lot. Then, in early March, we were sitting outside as the sun started to go down. I have a high fence and a fairly low patio cover (comparatively), but still, there was a gap between the eave of the patio cover and the fence.In MARCH, the porch was uninhabitable for the hour and a half that the sun was creeping down toward the fenceline.My patio cover is slanted (like the roof of the home), and the patio is 14'x14'. Several of my neighbors have retractable roller shades made of solar screen material but their patio eave is parallel to the ground and mine is not. Also, 14' wide solar shades are available, but exorbitantly expensive and have a very long manufacturing lead time. I was pretty close to just getting bamboo roller blinds when I encountered this.This is deceptively easy to put up. There are two brackets to hold the side of the mount, and the shade slides in to that and is secured with set screws. We took like an hour going over the instructions and the parts, and about 15 minutes with the drill and screws.We did not mount the post for a couple of reasons. One is that we mounted it toward the top of the eave (because that's where we needed the barrier) and also we mounted it (intentionally) upside down, because the people who need access to the shade can't reach it if it's the other way around, although I don't think that impedes the operation of it in any way. We might mount the post later, but for now when we open it we just secure it to the catio with bungee cords and it works fine.The only thing we've had to give as a heads-up to anyone is that when you are retracting it you have to be VERY careful to do so evenly, otherwise it won't close entirely. Beyond that, it's been perfect, and that adjustment took about 5 minutes.One thing to note, when the sun is pounding on the shade, you can feel some heat about a foot "inside" the shade, but that isn't a problem with the shade, that's physics and thermodynamics. Our table is a couple of feet inside the shade anyway, so it's not an issue.We will see how the rest of the summer plays out; if I end up needing an additional one, I'm definitely getting one by this manufacturer.

I had a shipping problem that was resolved in a few hours after contacting MCombo customer service. I received my item fast and in good condition via Fedex. I opened the box and confirmed all the parts were inside and it appears that 4-washers were missing. Not a big deal deal, as their were 2-mounting solutions provided; A permanent lag bolt into concrete/wood for the hitching post & a non-permanent by screwing a post sleeve into the concrete/wood and the hitching post slides into the sleeve making it removable as desired.I love that they give you 2-solutions. Another item for concerns is that the mounting screws and Lag-bolts are NOT stainless-Steel, which in my opinion is critical. After a couple of year these anchors will begin to rust and look ugly and eventually 5+ yrs become unstable. I plan to purchase stainless steel screws so I only need to install this once. Still not a big deal for me as I often need to circumvent manufacturer penny-pinching mistakes. Rather spend another few $ and do the job right. I think the design was intended for wood deck installation not concrete patios.The screws the mount the retractable shade are indeed stainless-steel. Also the direction were very good! Very well written and with pictures step-by-step procedures. They was a small mis-print were you need to drill 4 inches into the concrete from the Lag-bolts NOT 4ft, but that was certainly implied and harmless error.All & all I am pleased with the design and the functionality of the product. I choose this product for it size (Height & Width). It is higher and wider than most and perfect for my requirements. My biggest concern is how to dream up a solution to keep the shade from buckling to windy conditions. If I can efficiently resolve that solution I will post an update.

This shade is just what we needed for privacy! My husband was very impressed with the instructions as they were easy to follow and he put it up by himself! I love it because it affords privacy when needed - while being lightweight and retracts so I can see my nearby rose garden when not in use. Color is perfect. When compared to using heavy metal type panels which are heavy and difficult to store when not needed, this retractable shade divider is perfect! We like it so much, we ordered another for the west side of our patio! Excellent product for sure!

Item seems of good quality if it actually pulls in and out. Product was very difficult to pull and whats pulled out wont roll back in. Seller requested unpack the item , set it up and try again. I have communicated with them that we struggled with it for over an hour with no success. Had to contact amazon customer service for co to finally provide return label. Lets see if i get a refund.

Just bought this item. I love it. They use high quality material. Some what easy to put up. I’m a lady what can I say. I purchased a different one before I purchased this one. Trust me spend the money it’s well worth it.
