Top job, top value - don't hesitated
Kinda "Ronseal" thing - does what you expect. Good sturdy item, well finished and fit for purpose. Designed specifically for the pro-entry vice and fits same. Glad that I bought this for the vice as it gives the flexibility of being able to turn the vice to an easier angle if required. I used 3 x 8mm engineering bolts (length should be the thickness of your bench plus at least 30mm) and wide washers. I've seen other reviews that claim this is not for the PEV1 but that's not correct- it just takes a bit of fidgeting to rotate the vice on the base but once in place and tightened up it's as sturdy as a fat lady in a lift.

versatile
Managed to get a record vice £16 from screwfix in the sale an when i seen this it made my vice more versatile( ie swivel) the vice an this combined cost me in total £28 which at the time was good because to buy a vice that swivels would have cost me £65 so happy

Great idea but useless attachment
The screws that are supplied are to short. As soon a you put washer on there is not enough thread to put the quick release nuts on.When vice attached it will not rotate smoothly. Eventually gave up and just bolted the vice to the bench and threw this part in the bin. Complete waste of money. Would not recommend it. Save your money and put it towards a bigger and more quality vice.

I got this for my son as he does woodwork and he loves it he's very happy with this vice base he has the property irwin vice for this base

Not quite what it seems
First thing to note, this is not the right sized Base for the IRWIN PEV1 vice. It can be made to work with that vice, but reading the description details, you will find it is intended to work with a different model. The PEV1 vice will clamp to this Base, but it doesn't swivel when loosened, but flops about the Base.Good case of "should have read the small print"
