Lisle59560 Stretch Belt Tool for GM

Why did you pick this product vs others?:I bought this to change a belt on my pickup, once I got this in place it worked like a charm without a much more expensive belt tool. Would highly recommend!

Used this at work, helps alot with the newer Chevy silverados with no tensioner, the chevys with the a/c stretch belts are easy without this tool but helps for the beginners. This also helps with ford transits with the 3 belt systems, mainly the fleet vans used for refrigerated food deliveries.

tools works so-so poor design on belt

This tool beats the snot out of having to try using a million zip ties. I previously purchased a lisle belt tool that would remove and install stretch belts but it never fit GM's crank pulleys and I tried to modify it for the alternator pulley and it didn't work there either.Just give up your loss and time and use a heavy pair of scissors or like I did, a metal shear to cut the old belts off and use the tool on the crank pulley to install your belts. Only use a large ratcheting wrench to turn the crank pulley and spin the engine by hand to help get the belts installed.
