Works well and makes the assembly of MC4 connectors a breeze. Nice, basic and clean solution for people using solar.

The crimper itself is a quality, well made tool. Works very well. The MC4 connectors included also seem to be a pretty good quality. But, maybe I'm dumb, (can't find it?) but the tool doesn't include a wire cutter, or stripper. Seems like an oversight. I mean, don't you have to cut & strip the wire before installing the end on it? Also, No instructions of any kind. Because there are 3 positions on the crimper, for different wire sizes, it seems. Also, which part of the end goes in which plastic end is unclear. The small metal pin goes in the female end, and the large metal end goes into the males. Seems opposite, and I ruined the first one I did. If it had a cutter/stripper, clearly 5 stars, in spite of lack of instructions.

This crimper kit is high quality. The crimper itself works perfectly and seems very durable. It's nice that everything you need to install new PV connectors is in one kit. Check online for videos if you need instructions on how to use it. I had no trouble putting together a set of extension cables.

Worth it and gets the job done. I'm sure there's higher quality but for a few homeowner crimps good enough

I bought this to really do one job that I needed done, with an eye to possibly needing to do it again one day. In that regard, all the tools and pieces did their job. I'm happy with my purchase. The two tools for disconnecting solar connectors are invaluable. It is a pain to do it without them.
