Overall: Good solid construction. Would happily buy again. Pros: + Feels durable + Easy to assemble and use + Power Indicator is a nice touch + Very small and portable + Good value for money + Handy strap to loop through body of enclosure + Came with small screwdriver (very thoughtful) + Extra screws provided (1 of each) + Fast speed vs. form factor for the M.2 NVMe you decide to install (this is only the case/enclosure). Cons: - Thermal pad is provided and is a bit hard to apply as it looked like mine came somewhat precut in squares. I assume that is to help size the pad correctly. However, this means that you likely will end up with clean cut breaks in the thermal compound over the memory controller of your M.2 NVMe. For those who are more particular, you may want to opt to purchase your own thermal pad Considerations: * As others have mentioned, if you are writing files for a long period, you will need to let the device cool for a few minutes before resuming your writing/copying (I was cloning a 500Gb drive). This behavior happens for all M.2 SSDs of this size and is not related to this product. * Using an infrared thermometer, the peak temps I reached after intense file copying was ~60.5C and moderate copying reached ~44C. I found the aluminum body does cool quickly, however it’s important to avoid touching the body for too long. Overall, great product and will happily purchase again.

Had a spare 256GB SSD after replacing the drive in my Surface Pro 9 and was looking for something to do with it. Got this on a whim and couldn't be happier. Happy enough to get a 2TB drive to put in this instead of the smaller drive that I had as a spare. Now I have a nice small portable SSD that holds a ton a data that fits anywhere and takes up almost no space in my bag or pocket. As almost everything these days has a USB-C port I don't need any extra cables or adapters to keep with this enclosure. USB-C plug is very solid and not wiggle. Only downsides I have has with this unit is that it will get hot with large data transfers and the magnetic top could stand to have a bit stronger magnets as they put the loop on it and it will not hold together and you will end up with a top cover and no drive if you use it to attach to anything. DO NOT USE IT THIS WAY unless you augment the magnetic cover with something like a small rubber band. I do not run speed tests as that shows only ideal transfers and not real world use cases but I have seen write speeds exceeding 550 mbps on some file transfers from other SSDs.

This thing is awesome. The only thing I would improve on is possibly better cooling, 'cause it runs really hot, which might trigger thermal throttling of performance. But that's to be expected with such a small enclosure. I honestly don't know how better cooling would be accomplished without sacrificing the compact size of this unit. I'd rather keep the throttle to stay at this size. It only gets super hot when doing larger data read/write operations. I have installed whole OS (Windows 11) booting on a Steam Deck and it runs great. Runs just as fast as the built-in SSD.

TL;DR: This is a good enclosure but gets really hot and if you're moving a lot of data all the time rather than more typical uses, it might not be the best choice. Pros: - Compact and well built, feels solid - Easy to assemble - Includes thermal pads - Comes with the ubiquitous cheap Chinese screwdriver Cons: - Does not come with instructions, but it's also pretty simple. - Gets quite hot. I got this to back up SD cards with my laptop and under sustained loads of only around 30 MB/sec, the enclosure reached 133 F (56 C). This isn't hot enough to be dangerous to the equipment and there's still headroom, but be wary touching it after sustained data transfers. If you're pushing higher speeds for longer, it might be a bigger problem. I paired this with a 512 GB Sabrent NVMe drive.

Design is flawed, because the string is attached the cap, not the case, and uses a magnet to hold it together, so you will most likely walk around with the cap hanging on your neck and the sdd gone.

This item is perfect for carrying a high capacity NVMe in one's pocket. I have just purchased and set up my second one to upgrade my NVM storage to 2 terabytes. My first one, purchased a year ago, has held up perfectly and reliably provided High speed access to a 1 terabyte NVMe. I am completely satisfied with this case and recommend it to anyone needing a small form factor case for an NVMe up to 2 TB.

Nice tiny little enclosure. Attach the loop as instructed and, along with the magnetic cap, you have a tidy and secure unit always at the ready.

Es muy bueno es realmente pequeño para transferencias grandes recomiendo ponerle algo fresco para evitar que se caliente demasiado, el conector usb c es un poco más largo de lo normal pero eso ayuda si lo vas a conectar a un celular o iOS con funda pues ya no tendrás que retirarla en general es genial y pequeño

Ho acquistato questa enclosure NVME 2230 per avere sempre con me 1TB di spazio e devo dire che sono rimasto estremamente soddisfatto. La qualità costruttiva è eccellente: il case è in alluminio, solido e ben rifinito, con un design super compatto che facilita il trasporto senza occupare spazio. L’installazione del NVME è stata semplicissima anche grazie al cacciavite incluso nella confezione e non ho avuto alcun problema: basta svitare le 2 vitine, inserire l’SSD, fissarlo e richiudere. Le prestazioni sono davvero ottime, con velocità di trasferimento elevate e stabili, ideali sia per backup veloci che per utilizzare l’SSD come disco esterno quotidiano come faccio io con il mio S25 Ultra. Devo dire che si scalda abbastanza durante i trasferimenti di file di grosse dimensioni, non tanto da scottarsi ma per fare il suo lavoro di dissipazione resta caldo per qualche minuto anche dopo aver finito. Un altro punto a favore è la compatibilità: ha funzionato subito sia su Windows che su Android, senza driver aggiuntivi. In sintesi, è un prodotto che offre ottimo rapporto qualità-prezzo, perfetto per chi vuole dare nuova vita a un SSD 2230 inutilizzato o creare un’unità esterna veloce e portatile. Consigliatissimo! Klein behuizinkje voor M2 2230 SSD's. Ledje is blauwig als het ding staat te wachten en groen als er actie is. De snelheid is prima, +1000 MB read/write, maar twee dingen zijn een beetje jammer: Het magnetische dekseltje om de USB-C connectie af te schermen is net te zwak en de USB-C connectie zelf is zo lang dat de mini-drive altijd een stuk uitsteekt, zie foto.
