This brand is different from the first one I had 40 years ago.

I HAD NO CHOICE BUT TO RETURN IT. ALTHOUGH THEY MENTION "MINI" IN THEIR DESCRIPTION...I TAKE 50% RESPONSIBILITY AND THE OTHER 50% BELONGS TO THE SELLER. THE SELLER WAS 100% HONEST AND TOOK THE RETURN AND GAVE ME A FULL REFUND THE SAME DAY... THIS RULER IS SOOOO TINY THAT I WAS NOT ABLE TO READ IT...AGAIN IT WAS MY FAULT

The edges were a little sharp due to poor finishing, but nothing a small hone couldn't quickly take care of. But the point is I should have to take care of it on a new product, thus the lost star.

Hard to read, I guess it was smaller than what I thought I would get. I thought it would be a shorter version of my desk one. It’s like the size of a pen. Fits in vest pocket, just don’t drop it you’ll never find it again. It is hard to read in my opinion. It is very good quality though.

It’s easy to read and sturdy

I use this for engineering homework. The selection of scales are really nice for maintaining a consistent scale for axes when graphing. My circuit diagrams are also much cleaner when using this. The tube that it is sold in does not hold up well to being transported in a backpack -- mine broke into pieces within 2 months despite being careful with how I packed it. Not the biggest problem if you have access to a 3d printer to create a better case.

This red mini scale ruler is perfect for my work bag or pocket. I'm not an engineer but I work with ground plans to build theatre sets, so having this handy in my back pocket is important and it's even better that it doesn't break when I squat or bump into scenery. The tube is helpful when traveling so it doesn't catch the fabric liner of my bag. Can confirm that it is not magnetic, but it doesn't need to be. Would buy again!

I've had this for about 6 months now. Works awesome if you have to read plans often. Same size as a pen, so I just slide it in my pocket. Don't have to look like a goof with a giant plastic scale walking around a job site. Finish hasn't really worn any.
