This is an exam practice question workbook covering the whole syllabus with spaces for the answers to be completed in the book and then checked back to the answers at the back.The book is split into six sections1. Number2. Algebra3. Graphs, Functions and Calculus4. Geometry and Measure5. Pythagoras, Trig and Vectors6. Probability and StatisticsThe content page has a box to tick as each sub section of the main subject sections are completed.The ordering of the subject questions mirrors the sections and sub sections in the accompanying Revision and Practice book making it easy to study the revision book then go to the corresponding questions in the workbook.There's a "How to Use this book" page at the start explaining how the question pages are set out, eg. what the calculator symbol means, if Qs are for the core or extended exam paper, where to see the max marks per question and how to record your judgement of your performance.There's a page of exam tips then it launches into the 6 main subject sections.After the six main sections of questions there are 13 pages of mixed questions then the answer pages stating the answers, breaking down how they are arrived at when necessary and and setting out how marks are awarded for part answers or Qs split into parts.Finally the last page in a copy of the formulae sheet pupils can expect to be provided in the exam so they become familiar with those they need to memorise and those they do not.This is not a full blown question text book, there are a limited number of questions, eg. in the first section "Number" there are 16 sub sections covering 22 pages so most topics have 1 page of questions, it assumes full knowledge of the curriculum an is designed as a revision tool to identify any gaps requiring further remedial study.This is a valuable question book for students sitting their GCSE with other exam boards too.

Their revision guides leave something to be desired but the CGP workbooks are very good and seem to cover the present syllabus.

We have been long-time fans of CGP books and this new edition of the Maths Practice Workbook maintains the previous quality.The book successfully complements their other workbook, GCSE Maths Complete Revision & Practice, with realistic and yet easy-to-understand exam-style questions. The illustrations in the workbook are of good quality and my daughter likes the "hint bubbles" on some questions giving an initial idea of where to start.The price of £8.99, at the time of this review, is good value for money.All in all, I can recommend this workbook.

My daughter’s going in to year 10 and has just had her end of year assessments. She found this a useful tool to use to revise and will do going forward for her GCSE’s too.Brilliant practice and guide with tick boxes for when each section is complete.Highly recommend!
