Frame Company Allington Range 20 x 10-Inch Picture Photo Frames, Fitted with Glass, White

I like these frames, they look better than you would expect for the price and they actually have proper glass in them, rather than plastic, but thereby lies a problem. When they cut the glass they do not smooth the edges and they are prone to have small glass fragments that get between picture and glass. I had to have two goes, on this frame at trying to wipe them away with a damp cloth, fortunately I spotted the problem early and managed to avoid damage to the print I was framing. It's a question of a little more attention to detail and quality is needed. I would, however, recommend these frames, at this price.

Whille removing the back to insert a picture, on of the pins fell out. That's not too bad, can happen. But then I realised that the glass was very dirty. It looked like patches of water drying. But I failed to get it clean with a cloth and warm water. I guess will have to take the glass out and wash it in the sink!!! I did not expect this from a wrapped product. The frame gives you more hassle than a solution. Wouldn't buy again.

This looks good and good price so why only 3 stars ? ISSUE 1) As nearly all art reproductions come in non-standard sizes there will always be a border at the top or side so an A3 backing sheet is required to conceal the exposed hardboard. None is provided. ISSUE 2) The clips that adhere the hardboard backing to the frame are simply pieces of metal which you bend and unbend each time you insert or remove a poster and this eventually creates metal fatigue that will cause the clips to shear off. ISSUE 3) There is only one hanging loop each for landscape or portrait orientation thus causing the frame to swing out of horizontal alignment if accidentally jogged so two hanging loops rather than one is required to maintain level alignment. I fielded all three comments to the Frame Company and (much to their credit) received a rapid detailed response as described : ISSUE 1) The company maintained that most art came in standard A sizes anyway so no exposed margin issue to address. This is obviously untrue for anything created before 1977 and probably untrue after that date because artists are inspired to create in a size that suits their vision, not to neatly fit into an A size frame. ISSUE 2) The company explain that as the clips will not be in constant use, they will not snap off due to metal fatigue. ISSUE 3) The company misconstrued my alignment observation thinking that I was referring to the strength of the loops rather than the number and placement of them. As a designer myself I deem it important to submit accurate feedback to promote better products but In this instance the company are happy to disregard my findings so if you don't mind a) The clips shearing off after frequent use. b) The frame swinging out of horizontal alignment if jogged. c) Are prepared to visit an Arts & Crafts shop for an A3 backing sheet, this is the frame for you. If not, seek elsewhere for a more professionally designed product.

I needed a frame for my son's graduation photo and this frame has done the job perfectly. Arrived promptly, sensibly wrapped, easy to fit photo in. A card inside telling you how to get help should there be a problem, I have just ordered another for my Mum for the same purpose!

I wanted some cheap 10x12 frames that I'll probably re-paint myself and these fit the bill.Some of the mitres are less than perfect but the overall cost of these was about the same as the cost of the parts would be, and I'd still have to cut and assemble them. Having made the comment about the mitres they are still better than some I've cut myself.So overall good value at £6.40 ea for the white ones (inclusive of the postage)

A good quality frame to fit a 10 x 8 photograph which a photographer had delivered with a card mount. so the 12 x 10 frame was perfect. The black frame makes the photograph look quite classy:also the fact that the frame has glass not plastic.The frame hangs nicely and securely. This has been a really good purchase.

The frame looks good enough for the cost but, having installed my picture in the frame, the device for hanging it on the wall, fell off. On investigation, the means of sticking it to the frame was flimsy and its failure inevitable. I always use two points to hang a picture of this nature in case one fixing fails but this has only one for landscape and one for portrait. Having hung a few pictures before I had a couple of hangers which I used to fix the problem.

I have bought several of these frames and each time they seem to drop in quality a little. The first bunch were perfect but the measurements in all of the more recent ones are off which has creased the prints I use them for. The material and look is great but if they can't fit the prints (which are definitely the right size) then that unfortunately knocks the value right down.

Vor Jahren haben wir im MoMA als Erinnerungsstück einen Kunstdruck des "Sternenhimmels" mit Passepartout gekauft.Als wir zu Hause ankamen, mussten wir feststellen, dass kein Rahmen, den wir hatten, zu den exakten Maßen des Bildes passte.Irgendwann haben wir dann das Bild abgemessen - die 35,5 x 28 cm scheinen eine für US-amerikanische Verhältnisse normale Größe zu sein.Der Rahmen passt perfekt für das Bild.Dazu sieht er recht hübsch aus. Das ist natürlich eine Frage der Ästhetik. Ein schlichter schwarzer Rahmen erfüllt hier sehr gut seinen Dienst. Wer also vor einem ähnlichen Problem wie wir steht, dem kann nur zu diesem Rahmen geraten werden.

È un anno che aspetto le aktre 2 cornici!!!! Arrivata 1 su 3!!!

las medidas que nos da 50.8x40.6 son interiores, por lo que una foto de 50x40 le sobra 0.8 cm y 0.6 cm no es para fotos de 50x40 si no para un tamaño mayor, lo peor no es eso si no que te cobra unos 10 euros por marco ( no por envio como la logica nos dice, y tambien albaran de entrega) en concepto de transporte pidas 1 o 10, algo parecido a un atraco, valen mas portes que lo que pides y por si fuera poco en la factura que te llega ves que hay un cargo de portes de 4,5 E por los 5 marcos y no 50 la compra es una estafa con todas la de ley.

Excelente relación calidad precioEs de buena calidad y las medidas son exactas.Puede colocarse colgado o sobre mesa como un marco de fotos gracias al pie que trae.Llegó muy bien embalado, me daba miedo por el cristal pero llegó perfecto.Muy recomendable

habe am 25.09.2017 3 dieser Rahmen bestellt, da ich 3 Bilder aufhängen wollte. Der erste Rahmen kam am 30.09.2017, der zweite Rahmen kam am 11.10.2017. Auf den dritten Rahmen warte ich bis heute (24.10.2017).
